  1. Your new WWE champion Heath Slater. Make it happen.
  2. With Rogers setting a cap of 140M, the Jays will have roughly 30M to spend on free agents, after all the arbitrations and options. That almost guarantees the Jays won't be re-signing Price, unless he signs for under 20M per year, while is a possibility. It really comes down to how badly does he want to win.
  3. Rockies decline their option for Morneau. A bit injury prone, but he'd be a nice addition to the team, at a low cost. Git'er done AA!
  4. AA leaving on his own term, only means one thing. Mark Shapiro and him have different plans going forward. I'm almost certain that Shapiro wants to rebuild. Which means, see ya later double E, Joey Bats, and Tulo. Further my speculation, there's a rumour going around that Shapiro wasn't pleased with AA gutting their farm.
  5. As great as Estrada has been for the team this year, the problem with re-signing him, is he probably will want Navarro as his personal catcher and personally I would rather spend the money elsewhere, like bolstering the bullpen. All signs point to Price walking or the Jays won't be able to retain him. Which means the Jays will need two arms in the rotation next year, assuming they can't re-sign Estrada. Viable options in free agency are Jeff Samardzija and Kazmir to replace Price and Estrada. Kazmir has resurrect his career, since being traded to the Angels and has had a pretty solid season, at one point had a better ERA than Price. He will definitely come cheaper than Price, as well as other top pitchers on the open market. Samardzija has been on AA's radar for quite some time now. So, I wouldn't be surprised, if he's at the top of AA's list on pitchers to go after. In the pen, they need to bring in another long-arm pitcher, as of right now Hendriks is the only reliable arm in that situation. A guy I would like to see AA bring back is Carlos Villanueva. He's been great for the Jays, a couple of years ago, and continued that success when he was let go. Mark Lowe should absolutely be re-sign, and Sanchez should be inserted back into the rotation. They would need a set-up man, if Sanchez is to be brought back into the rotation, and some cheap options are Jim Johnson or Joakim Soria. In the outfield, Revere will be getting a substantial raise, which might not be worth re-signing him especially when the Jays have depth at that position. So I'd try and trade him for an true starting first basemen, preferably a left-handed one (*cough* Morneau *cough), and rotate Pompey and Carrera in LF. Line-up: 2B: Travis 3B: Donaldson RF: Bautista 1B: Morneau DH: Encarnacion SS: Tulowitzki C: Martin CF: Pillar LF: Pompey Bench: Carrera, Colabello, Goins, backup catcher Starting Rotation: Stroman Kazmir Samardzija Sanchez Hutchison Bullpen: Loup, Villanueva, Lowe, Hendriks, Cecil, Soria/Johnson, Osuna
  6. The Jays had the second highest payroll in 2013. Buehrle's 20M is off the books next year, same with Navarro's 5M. They can opt out on Dickey's 12M (1M buyout) contract. If Rogers set a cap, say 150M, they can easily re-sign Price and Estrada.
  7. It all comes down to, does Price want to win or does he want the big payday? Money isn't an issue for Rogers. If Price re-sign, he will get paid by the Jays. Maybe not the top dollars that he's looking for if he hits free agent, but he has to think to himself "Is there a better team out there, that gives me the best chance of winning?". All he really has to do is look at the lineup.
  8. Generally, it's the easier play for the outfielder to come in on a shallow bloop single, but not in this case. The middle infielders always have the "right of way", on those plays, especially if they wave off the outfields, because of their range to cover the field. We see countless times, around the league, when the SS or 2B make over the shoulder catches, in shallow outfield or make running foul balls catches away from their position. Like I said, there was no reason for Bautista for call for the ball, when Goins waved him off twice.
  9. Reported asked "was there any miscommunication between you two.", which Bautista replied, "no, you all saw the video". Goins waved off Bautista not once, but twice during that play. There's no reason for Bautista to call for the ball, once Goins waved him off. The infielders always have "the right of way", on those plays.
  10. Joey Bats, throwing Goins under the bus in the post-game interviews. lol

  13. I'd rather play KC. I don't want none of Keuchel, Kazmir, and their bullpen.

  15. I think the best option (at least IMO), is start Price in game 4, then Dickey at home, in game 5. Dickey hasn't loss at home, since late June.
  16. So is hypocrisy... Weren't you bitching about Cecil being garbage, at the beginning of the season, and now you want him to the closer?
  17. All you do on here is post wrestling rumours that I can literally read anywhere, and bitch about your team when they lose. Post some content.
