[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
shiznak replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
That’s not being realistic. That’s being hopeful. Look at the current NHL forwards who are 36+ yrs old right now. Only Bergeron, Pavelski, and Getzlaf are scoring at a .6 per game rate, this season. -
They also beat the Bucks all three times they played this season. Dwayne Casey’s Pistons always seem to beat the Raps, ever since he got let go.

[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks

Does it even matter if his caphit will be equivalent to 6.75m in 2031? When he’s probably going to score 30-20 points, at that stage of his career. 6.75m for a 37/38-yrs old, scoring 30-20 points … great value. -

Actually, icing a well-balance roster wins you Cups. Tampa didn’t always rely on Kucherov, Stamkos, or Hedman every single game during the playoffs. When guys like Cirelli, Gourde, Killorn, and Palat, stepped up on a different night. If we’re able to get 2-3 solid young pieces for Miller. I think the majority of GMs would make that deal. Given where they are at in their team’s phase. -
Tweet of the year.

Jays signed Yusei Kikuchi to a 3-yrs deal, 36M. Had an awesome first half, last season. Made the All-Star team, but kind of fell off the cliff during the second half. If he can stay consistent the entire year. That Jays’ rotation looking mighty sexy. Gausman Berrios Ryu Manoah Kikuchi -

I think last year was his bounce back season. He certainly won’t come cheap, but he would be way cheaper than the other big named options on the market. Somewhere between 20-25m per year. Hopefully, no more than a 4 year deal, when Bo and Vladdy become UFA’s -

Quinn Hughes, showing you how not to defend a 2-on-1. Great offensive game, though. -

Do you think Miller is willing to bet he continue to play at a high level at 35, when most athletes start to trend downward at that age? Even so, he’s more likely to get 4-3m max, at that point in his career. Like I said, he could just sign a 7yrs, 56m+ contract, that will take him into retirement. -

Take this with a grain of salt, but MLB agents and other teams are expecting the Jays to add one more big offensive bat into the lineup. Obviously, the big names out there are Correa and Freeman, but I’ll gladly take Bryant as a consolation prize. Maybe add a veteran arm like Diekman to solidify the bullpen. -

This will probably be his last contract. Why would he settle for 10M for 5 years? When he could get 8M for 7 years on the open market, get that job security and that extra 6M. -

It’s probably a good thing he’s having a career year this year and not next. I don’t expect him to replicate this next year. Which, however you look at it. It’s unfortunate because his trade value will probably decrease, but we’ll be able to re-sign him at a cheaper cost. -
I mentioned this in the Miller trade talk thread. As long as the team keeps winning, there is no reason for management to trade anyone. I feel like they’re just going to ride it out with what they got until the off-season.

MLB and MLPA are inching closer to a deal. Nothing official yet, but they’re currently voting on a new CBA. If they agree on the new deal. They’re still planning on playing a full 162 season, beginning April 7th, with a mini spring training starting on the 17th. Fire up the pine tar! -

I know this is just one play, but I think people are underselling how good Makar is defensively. He’s second amongst defensemen (min. 1000 mins played) in xGA/60 only behind Hedman. Whereas, Hughes is 13th in that category. -

As long as the team is winning, I highly doubt anything happens at the deadline for us. I feel like the management is just going to ride it out with Miller until next season. -
They were hoovering at .500 with AD and LeBron healthy. 11-11 in the first two months of the season.

I think any deal involving Colorado, we’ll have to take on Compher and Jost. I don’t see them trading Newhook, considering that they will probably lose two of Kadri, Burakovsky, and Nichushkin. All three who are UFA’s and after this season. To Vancouver: Compher, Jost, Barron, Olausson, and a first To Colorado: Miller, Motte, Schenn and a 2nd -
He’s eligible for UFA if he accepts his QO (7yrs of service), after this season. If I were him, I’ll take the guarantee money and job security.

There’s no denying that Halak was terrible last night, but he didn’t get much help from his defensemen. The first 4 goals were caused by bad defensive coverages and bad turnovers. -
This tweet didn’t aged very well.
