  1. I like to see them bring in Scott Salmond (Senior advisor of the men’s national team) as Hockey of Operations and Michael Futa (apart of LA’s dynasty) as GM.
  2. I called it in the PGT. Last time there was a “Fire GM” chant at Rogers. Gillis was fired the next day.
  3. Last time there was a “Fire GM” chant at Rogers. Gillis was fired the next game, just saying.
  4. Well……at least Guentzel and Jarry did well for my fantasy team.
  5. Leah “takes the shot” Hextall.

  6. I’m not sure how you guys judge Hughes’ improvement on the defensive zone, but he’s actually been a lot worse this season then last season. He’s leads the team in both scoring chances against and high danger scoring chances against. Despite not being deployed against the opposition top line and having over 70% of his shifts, start in the offensive zone. I mean in comparison Chychrun who has the worst +/- rating in the league and plays tougher minutes. Has 9 less scoring chances against and 11 less high danger scoring chance against than Hughes. Playing in one of the league’s worse teams. Arizona ranks 5th in shots against and 4th in goals against. MVP - Demko Its not even close. I can’t imagine our record without him, stealing 3-4 games. Biggest surprise - Garland I thought we would be an energy guy ala Hansen for us. He has a lot more offensive pop than I thought.
  7. I don’t get why Connor Bedard gets an invite, even though he’s having an underwhelming year. While Matthew Savioe is having an outstanding year leading the Dub as a rookie. Doesn’t even get an invite.
  8. I hate to be the devil’s advocate here, but this was just a PR move. Unlike the Sedins, their donation were anonymous, until news broke out. Whereas, this gesture was apart of this “giving Tuesday” social media movement.
  9. I’m against trading Gurriel, because of the bond he has with Vladdy and Hernandez. I know it’s a business, but you don’t really want to upset your franchise player by trading away one of his closest teammates. Grichuk, Kirk, and Orelvis Martinez could possibly get it done.
  10. Bring in Mike Keenan and Mark Messier as assistant coaches. Linden, Messier, and Keenan…..what a trio.
  11. Hypothetically speaking, you could always platoon them at 1B/3B/DH. I’m sure Freddie has played 3B a few times in his career.
  12. While I don’t see him leaving Atlanta. Apparently, the Jays are interested in Freddie Freeman.
  13. Based on your assumptions. There’s no proof that Miller is the “heart” of this team than more than Horvat. Or that he’s a better leader. This is the same guy who reportedly rubbed his teammates the wrong way in New York. Horvat is a homegrown talent, who before this season everyone loved. It’s amazing that just one incident where he didn’t stick up for Podkolzin, ruined his reputation as a leader.
  14. Unless we massively overpay, I think Miller is gone regardless if we still suck or not next year. The dude probably wants to play for a true Cup contender, and not a bubble playoff team.
  15. I’d rather have Ray, tbh. But I guess his asking price is way too much.
  16. You’d think Miller would want to go through a rebuild? The likelihood of Miller staying is probably less than Horvat staying, imo.
  17. It was dirty because DeMelo made it out to be dirty. If DeMelo braced for the hit, it would have been fine. If you think otherwise, then you’re either a casual fan or you have a blind hatred towards Lucic because of 2011. Even Bieksa said he didn’t blame Lucic, because DeMelo turned his back and didn’t brace for the hit.
  18. DeMelo kind of turtled and put his body in a bad position for a hit. What is he expecting? Lucic to not hit him? Like I said, DeMelo saw Lucic coming before he reached the boards. He needed to protect himself and brace for a hit (which he didn’t), because 10 out of 10 times, a guy is going to hit you there. I think this board hatred towards Lucic is clouding people’s mind. Was it a dangerous hit? Yeah, but DeMelo could have avoided it easily. The fact that none of his teammates stood up for him, kind of makes you think. Yeah bro, that was kind of your fault there.
  19. I don’t even think it was that dirty, to be honest, nor it was a cheapshot. A cheapshot is when a guy didn’t see it coming, and DeMelo glanced at Lucic before he reached the boards. He needed to protect himself there, especially when a 230+ pound guy is coming towards you. It was a big hit with a bad outcome.
  20. I wish one of our guys would hit someone like that. Idc, if it was dirty or not. It would at least bring some f’n emotion to our group. But I guess, our fans are okay with soft, lifeless hockey.
  21. You really believe Toews, Stone, Kopitar and Giordano are scrappy players, when all these guys were nominated as Lady Byng candidates? Kopitar even won the award in 2016.
