  1. In this case I am hoping for the tank. This call is akin to kicking motion...depends on whether donuts were delivered to the "situation room" before or after the call.
  2. Jesus, get the Pettersson line off the damn ice. Learn to tank Tocchet. Holy hell.
  3. Definite penalty, Myers trying to do the tank a service, bless you soldier, you did your best.
  4. Oh I know, but I hate it a lot, I have a soft spot for goalies being one, King Richard was the first goalie I really knew, loved Captain Kirk, Cloutier was a favorite of mine, Bobby Lou was amazing, thought Schneider was going to be the next one, Marky grew on me and now Demmer. Would hate to trade him, I don't want to go through the dark ages of goalies again (goalie graveyard)...we had so many.
  5. We've literally lived through Demko stealing games for us. He's so good, I hate this talk about trading him a lot.
  6. Yep, the defense is like, Demmer's got this, let's have iced tea and relax. He gets peppered with so many quality chances. Almost every shot is high danger.
  7. Pettersson getting better at draws. He's the type that wants to be the best, I think in a year or 2 he will be a 55% or higher guy.
  8. You all literally need to read rule 60 from the NHL rule book, the height of the stick matters. Not surprisingly the herd mentality is wrong but can't contemplate that being wrong is possible. Rule 60: A high stick is one which is carried above the height of the opponents shoulders. You all could try reading or remain ignorant, I don't care anymore, you are wrong.
  9. Note) High Sticking is the action where a player carries the stick above the normal height of the opponent's shoulders and makes contact with the opponent. A player must be accountable for being in control of their stick at all times. (a) A minor penalty shall be assessed for high sticking an opponent.
  10. Not the correct interpretation of the rule. Homer glasses on too tight. You can't have your face on the ice and claim it's a high stick.
  11. Yeah...go look at the post you quoted again. You might have had a few too many wobbly pops.
  12. In fairness, a tiny player was bent almost 90 degrees at the waist, the guy barely got his stick above his hip, I wouldn't have called it either.
  13. Like a guy who hasn't had a single practice with the team and who hasn't played very much hockey in a while.
  14. Demko came back too early, we can't be getting good saves at bad times when we are up, not what we need.
  15. Well...got this news from YouTube of all places, didn't see anything on SNet. Decent trade to push out salary. Do it with bigger chunks now.
  16. They aren't done either, Kane going to bring in even more draft picks. They are going to be up & running through their rebuild before us because they are willing to strip it to the studs while we are checking if any of our moldy insulation can be salvaged.
  17. I would be shocked if Miller gets traded. It's the right move because he is simply going to get paid way to much for what he brings and where this team currently is. He's a good player but we need a 3-4 years younger Miller. We do need veteran presence still but that role shouldn't be taking a big chunk of cap. If we trade Miller then we have to hang on to Schenn. Can't take all the snarl out unless we are getting some back or Hughes & Petey won't finish this year uninjured.
