  1. I'm assuming that he couldn't make it worse by playing and that it was a matter of pain management and being effective enough, as a player, for it to matter. No doctor is going to sign off on it and no player would risk their career if playing through could cause a worse injury
  2. How does that relate to to the miheyev situation? That's where I'm confused by your statement
  3. Lower your price enough, someone will take boeser. Either you trade Myers as is this year (no retention/sweeteners), or you wait until tdl '24, imo
  4. I dont disagree changes need to be made, I've been saying it for a long time. But, this dcorp isn't nearly as bad as people make them out to be and if they had a coach who employed any kind of system, I think we wouldn't even be talking about them
  5. It's not ideal and I've been saying it's needs balancing for years.......that was my initial reason for trading boeser many moons ago. However, I don't think there's as mish mash ad yuu think they have.........I'd like to see them after some time with a good system. That doesn't mean there doesn't need to be changes, of course changes need to be made
  6. If Demko stayed healthy and BB had a decent defensive structure, they'd be in the wild card mix. They're not that "mish mash"........the dcorp takes a lot of blame for poor defensive play by the fwd group.
  7. How have they hit? Seider, yes and Raymond looks good........other than that?
  8. That's why you don't retaliate in a close game. Myers easily could have taken a penalty then and made it 4v4, but he didn't. You take a number for another time if you get a chsnce
  9. But if they wanted to keep fabbro, he'd probably get $4mish, the cap savings would be $2.5ish........still good
  10. Do you really think all those players are going to hit? And if they do, how do they retain them? They have given those young players the keys to the city and they will expect to be paid as such, which means they'll have to start dismantling those teams in 2-3 years
  11. you're assuming all those [layers are gping to hit, which they aren't. I'm betting detroit has 3ish years left of being on the outside looking in and Anaheim 5ish. IN that time their young stars are going to want huge, long term deals which will slam their window shut. I'd say the Canucks were those teams 3-4 years ago
  12. I'm saying the Canucks were in the same spot a cople of years ago and Detroit, Buffalo, Anaheim etc will be in the same spot Van is in right now in short order. They will get to the point where they will have to re-tool as well.
  13. Of course ability matters, but the dcorps has enough players who have all (almost) had successful NHL careers to this point to be effective in a well structured system.
  14. That's no different than what people were saying about van after the playoff bubble run. Young teams don't win cups and there's a lot of roadblocks involved in getting a young team.to a veteran team
  15. Really? Looks to me like both teams are on the outside looking in
  16. I hope not, best thing for him is being in Abby. Not only that, it'd likely be hogz getting the call, not podz
  17. Of course........Hughes was a no brainer pick
  18. Well, if they kept Fabbri, it's likely only be a $2-2.5m cap savings
  19. I'm not sure why people thinks this is any kind of indicator of a trade. He's barely played lately, DiG just got called up and Abby could use him.
