  1. Still RFA, rhd and likely wouldn't be getting a huge raise........allegedly Nashville is soured on him. Try him out for the remainder of the season, if he's not the right guy, let him walk to ufa and take the $6.5m in cap space. Nashville needs some youthful offensive players as well.
  2. Dries, maybe. Not Studs and definitely not lazar........not in a bottom 6 role
  3. Agreed and I'm not sure why the kept him past the exemption window
  4. I agree and he's a star in Abby. Great for the young guys
  5. Better at what? He's certainly not better than Joshua or lazar. Dries? Maybe and I would have been happy to see them give him a shot a 3C over Dries, but it's probably a lateral move.
  6. Pretty slim chance he gets claimed, imo. That said, I'm not sure what purpose keeping him around past his exemption window served. Excited to see him back in Abby though
  7. Anyone who claims him has to put him on their nhl roster
  8. Again, no to dead cap and by riding it out for a year with Myers, they will actually get an asset
  9. We'll see. I don't disagree it's unlikely, but they can't be liking what they're seeing from miller, regarding his attitude and hopefully they understand that looking bad is better than torpedoing the franchise for 7 years. For all we know, Miller might want out too.
  10. I don't think so and if they sit tight on zmyets, they'll actually get something for him. I think they'll find a taker for boeser for a 3rd ish and expiring contract, or straight up for an expiring contract. Moving Miller solves several problems in one move. I'm still not giving up hope they aren't seeing that
  11. No retention, no sweeteners. This team should be done with dead cap.
  12. The team can score, but can't play defense. That's far more fixable than being ok on defense but not being able to score. Defense is all about structure and discipline......if they had a coaching staff that could have implemented a good defensive structure and demko had been healthy, they'd likely be in a comfortable playoff spot right now Who knows about next year.......if they trade bo and keep Miller, I think they're in tough. Coaching will be the x factor
  13. He's still a ways off, but he is sneaky good. He's also been solid on the pk......Karlsson too
  14. The coaching was terrible and it'll take some time to work that out, but there's more than enough talent on the big club to be a playoff team. Whether this coaching staff can implement structure remains to be seen I've been watching Abby for a month now and I'd say the Canucks get more impact from their prospects than I've seen from most of the teams they've played. Not many AHL teams have 5-6 young players who look to NHL bound.
  15. Woo is playing top pair mins and is playing very well. Klim and Karlsson are both going to be good players and Hogz and Pidz are dominating. Bains is also looking very good and Wouters could very well come and and be an effective 4C. And these are just the players in Abby A team isn't made of of drafted/developed players. In fact, on most teams, they are the minority.
  16. It's been rated pretty high for awhile and even after the young guys in the NHl, the young guys in the AHL are looking good
