  1. Goalie would like that one back, I'm sure. Sneaky little shot though. I think Karlsson is playing his only season in the A. He's a solid player
  2. Karlsson ties it up with a seeing eye single on the pp. Silovs with two points I think.
  3. Damn, thought the game was tomorrow, missed the first goal......Bains, helpers from juulsen and klim
  4. Road teams often have to weather an early push. We'll see if they can keep it tied, or close, and push back
  5. I think you can sustain through the draft, but not "rebuild", certainly not anymore if you ever could.
  6. or just let him play and trade him at the tdl, which is the easiest, most sensible move.
  7. Buying out oel is just as stupid and should be a fireable offense.
  8. if they get a return for him, sure. But not if they have to add a sweetener to do it.......I'd rather just keep him until the tdl
  9. agreed on wingers, though I'm not big on picking dmen in the first round, but it's less risky the deeper in the round you go. I'm starting to honestly believe tat picking high is almost a curse given the cost of the second contracts of many of these high first rounders. Imagine what Bedard will get on his second deal? Even Fantilli and Carlsson are going to cash in big, with full term on their second deals. It hamstrings teams in so many ways and makes building through the draft pretty tough.......which I never saw as a viable thing anyway.
  10. not to mention it's going to cost to replace the mins he pays. So you have to pay the caphit on the buyout, plus pay to replace him. Just hang onto him until the 2024 deadline and actually get something for him. As I said with OEL, if this staff can get a decent defensive structure implemented, the dcorp will look a lot better, Myers included.
  11. Reaves is a pretty good skater and he's much bigger than Gino and can intimidate without fighting. He's also a heavyweight hitter, which Gino wasn't.
  12. completely different era's that aren't remotely comparable. I love Gino, but he wouldn't be an NHL player in this era
  13. what would the point of buying out Myers be? He'll be worth something next deadline
  14. Gino would not be in the NHL if he were playing today, and he was one of my all time faves. Sorry to burst your bubble
  15. he was? Once he couldn't fight anymore, how long did he last?
  16. exactly. There's no room on a roster for the Gino's any more. I'm not saying it's good, or that I like it........it's just the reality and its not going back.
