  1. I'm hard on them, but I've also been honest about the fact I think they've done good things at well. However, all the good things they've done will be meaningless if they don't fix the big issues and fix their own mistakes. There also seems to be a real lack of accountability from this group, which I find disturbing, disheartening and disappointing
  2. None of those guys are in OEL's tier and would look far far worse under this coaching staff.
  3. The problem is they have a coaching staff that doesn't have an even half way decent defensive system, if they have one at all
  4. Demko They had all the same problems last year, but had an all world goalie to make them look good
  5. What? How many times do we see bo bust his ass back to be the first back checker? Tons is the answer you're looking for
  6. Yeah, only on pace for 60 goals and hasn't gone more than a CPL games without a goal all season, lines up against the best C's in the league every shift and is still one of the best draw men in the world. But yes, he's consistently non existent
  7. Tye value is cap space, getting out from under that contract and getting his personality out of the room. Everything else is gravy
  8. "We f***** it all up, but we know know Canucks fans are so narrow minded that were going to blame it on the old regime and we know they'll buy it"
  9. I'd say bo has been tye most consistent, but Petey is right there too
  10. He wasn't chasing short term success, otyer tgan to try and give the young core a winning environment.......pretty hard to fault a guy for wanting a winning team. Who else could he have got for such a cheap price? OEL is a solid damn and they got him for scraps .........any other damn would have cost a lot more, both in terms of assets in a deal and cap space. And no matter who is in the lineup, they we ouid look great under this coach
  11. Agreed, but they've got enough fire power that they could play defense first and still score enough to win
  12. I think they're not as far off as they seem either. They can score and a halfway decent defensive coach would have this group on the bubble.........if demko were healthy
  13. Close to what? I don't think anyone thought they close to contender status, but they should have been a bubble playoff team, at the worst. I still believe they can be if this management team can get them past this spot ........all rebuilding teams get to this place and the well managed and well coached teams get past it
  14. And a lot of that comes from.a lack of a cohesive system. There is near zero support for the dmen from this foward group. They turn the puck over in terrible places, they don't cover on pinches and they don't get back and help the d by giving them easy outlet passes when they get in a jam.
  15. They implement they system BB wants them to play. The buck stops with BB. That said, they need to clean house, I agree
  16. I don't have a big concern with a good chunk of the roster.......it's the coach and management team that have created this mess. If they had a coach who knows how to implent a string defensive system and a management team who had been better vision, this team would be fine.
  17. I thinks theres a solid core of very talented players there and with the right moves and support players can move past this phase of growth.
