  1. Oh, I agree there. I'd love AV back, but not until the off season. No reason not to ride it out with BB and let him close out his career (likely), rather than getting fired
  2. He's a good coach with a veteran team who don't need to be taught how plsy in all zones of the rink. He is not a good coach for this team
  3. I disagree. A coach with a well defined defensive system can make a world of difference .......that's why you see less talented teams focus on defense over offense. Right now, there is nothing systemic about their defensive play.
  4. he's done at the end of the year anyway, they'll likely just ride his tank commander a$$ to the end of the season and say goodbye, rather than humiliate him unecessarily on what will likely be his last gig
  5. again, coaching is the biggest issue ith this team, defensively. Bring in AV and you'll see a much different team and result on the ice
  6. or just ride it out until closer to the tdl in 2024, then they'd actually get something for him, rather than having to give something to get rid of him
  7. I think he'll bring something decent back next year as well. He'll look better under a better systems coach as well
  8. well, lets get a coach that knows at least something about implementing a system of play, defensive specifically, and go from there.
  9. when I watch this team and see people complain about the d (not without cause) I wonder if those people ever wonder where the forwards on when the defensmen are being pressured and have no outlet pass available to them......because I see that ALOT
  10. I thought JL looked pretty good in his limited mins and overall misuse and I felt better about the pick after watching him play
  11. it was easily the most poorly coached Swedish team I've ever seen.......from personnel decisions to ice time allotment to an completely ineffective system implemented and no adjustments made. With a team with as much talent as they had, they should have been far far tougher to play against
  12. BB is single handedly driving the tank for this org. There is no discernible system on this team.
  13. where are the fwds who are supposed to cover for the d on a pinch? I swear BB has no systems whatsoever
  14. Again, not a question of who was better, but who is harder to replace and you can't compare the pre-cap era to the cap era
  15. The window at the tdl, before his new deal and NTC kick in
  16. I said they had no one in the org to replace Myers and finding a replacement outside the org was going to be costly in money and assets. I still stand by that. Get rid of Myers, get rid of oel and who replaces those hard mins they play?
  17. Well, they're not irrelevant to the guys who run the teams and that's what matters. Yes, his replacement value is far higher.
  18. I think Carolina is a great for miller and I do want him to suceed, there is a lot I like about him. I also think JK can still become a great player and would fit in well with this group. I'd prefer Jarvis, but if he were untouchable, I'd take the picks to move on from Miller
  19. Because it's a different era and players like that, in the cap.era have far more value because you can't go out and just buy a replacement. Aside from Gretzky, linden is my all time favourite player and I watched him many times. But you can't compare player value with players from the pre cap era to ones from the cap era.
  20. I think miller is a great fit in Carolina actually and rod the bod won't put up with his sh!t and will get the most out of miller
  21. Because I know the value of a player like horvat
