  1. Yet the smaller tweaks they've made have mostly been good......I like most of their summer signings (minus the obvious) and I've even been ok with the mid season deals and I thought they had a decent draft. But where they've faltered is the franchise altering moves that have and haven't been made. Nothing they've done there gives me any confidence in them.
  2. Doesn't change anything. I like the trade and don't see much beyond a power play guy in Guenther. I'll be surprised if he has a career as good as garlands had so far
  3. On the pp, sure, but he's been pretty ineffective 5v5. I just don't see him as an impact player in the NHL. Further to that, we don't know they'd have picked Guenther and if they didn't make that deal, who even knows where they would have picked. I have zero issues
  4. Should be noted that the second unit usually gets 15-20 seconds on each pp, so garland does t get much opportunity
  5. I agree and it's not taking anything away from demko, but they were just as bad in their own end last year and it was talked about.
  6. I'm not super impressed with him beyond the pp. I don't think he's going to be an impact player......I'm happy with oel and garland
  7. I'd rather they undermine their credibility than lose horvat and saddle the org with 7 more of a toxic personality
  8. Honestly, I think that's the biggest issue with this team.......no one has implemented a good defensive system with this group
  9. He did and he didn't. I was banned more than once for pointing out jT's toxic nature and complete lack of effort on defense. As I've always said, a guy like JT is great when things are going well, but incredibly toxic when they arent
  10. The players on the team have plenty of tools and the skills to use them. I see very little evidence of a coordinated system in their own end or the nzone. That's BB's job
  11. Those same issues were there, people were just willing to overlook them because he was playing well.
  12. A. None B. Some, mainly around roster/lineup moves C. Significant, questionable decisions regarding lineups as well as systems (or lack thereof). D. All C would be my answer. It does t absolve players, as it's a combination of coach and players
  13. I agree they need that kind of urgency.......sadly, most of those hits would be penalties now
  14. Different game now though, most of those hits would have been penalties
  15. popped up in my youtube feed.......thought we could all use a pick me up
