  1. I had no issue with the Lockwood deal, in fact id included kravstov in a miller deal last year. I was just reminding nding people that Lockwood is a good young player as well. The Stillman trade still doesn't make much sense, as they need dmen not wingers. Schenn, I'd rather have kept him than get a third.
  2. I wanted Miller and Boeser gone, which would have been the smartest move, but I also said I didn't think it was going to happen. I still hold out some hope they move them both at the draft, but I do think they'll manage to move Boeser and regain a second
  3. I think they're banking on boeser looking good down the stretch, which makes him much more palatable for two years
  4. They used a surplus pick, which I'm fine with. I don't believe, in any way, that they're going to trade their own. I also doubt they drop any lower than #11
  5. He was referring to the pick, or at least that's what I was referring. Lek will be fine, imo. Tons of skill, elite shot, good two way game........dealing with mono isn't something you get over easily and in the WJHC, his coach was terrible, imo. I'm not too worried about Lek
  6. No chance they trade that pick, imo. As close to zero as you could get
  7. He's no more undersized than Bedard, Michkov, Benson etc etc. The days of size being a significant advantage are over.
  8. Agreed. I don't think they'll win all their games against non playoff teams, nor do I think they'll lose all their games against playoff teams. I expect they'll hover slightly above .500 hockey from now until the end.
  9. If they pick around 8-10 and Andrew Cristall is there, they'd be crazy to pass on him for positional needs
  10. I think in the top 10-15, for this year especially, it should probably be BPA. Positionally, I think C is their most pressing positional need to address in the draft, then D.
  11. I'm perfectly fine if they play well and lose......of course I want the best pick possible, especially with this top 10 full of top line players. However, I would never expect the players or coaching staff to care about that......Tocchets job is to win games and he doesn't care about where they pick because he will likely be long gone when that player becomes an impact player. I think they've really done all they can, with the lineup, for the tank. Whatever happens from here happens.
  12. 20 games left, how many do they win? I think 11, putting them around 75 points
  13. This kid looked good at camp, it'll be interesting to watch his progress
  14. I don't know why he'd have any more trouble transitioning than any other player in the draft. Other than bedard, I think he's tops in points since Jan in the W. He was excellent last year and has smashed last year's point total in 15 less games, with games left to play. He's a winger, but I think he's worked his way into the top 10.
  15. No idea, as it's not really something I'd pay attention to. I come to my conclusions from almost 50 years of being involved with hockey at many many levels and being trained to research and extrapolate credible information. While I think that if Van end up 9-12, they could go a bit off board and take a dman, I also would g be surprised to see a dman not go until after 15........this is a fwds round this year, no doubt about that. I like ASP and Reinbacher, but I'm not sure that they are a lock for a top 2 or even top 4 spot in the NHL, whereas I think the top 10 fwds are probably a lock for top 6 spots in the near future. For me to take a dman in the top 15, they would have to be the clear BPA at that spot. Again, that said, I'd be ok with Van taking one of them 10ish-15.......depending on who is there.
  16. Bedard Michkov Fantilli Carlsson Smith Cristal Benson Moore Leonard Heidt Simashev Then I'd be looking at ASP or Reinbacher, though, depending what team I worked for, I'd likely lean toward ASP over Reinbacher
  17. In a different year, I might agree with you
  18. Reinbacher is not Nemec/jiricek
  19. I don't think ska will let him out.........he's too good
  20. I highly doubt it. There's too many top end fwds ahead of him. Again, I think 10-12 is a decent risk to take on him.
