  1. But they added 5m+ to the cap. They are massively over
  2. They won't be able to trade Myers without a high pick or good prospect. They really have no choice but to hang on to him until next tdl. Boeser will either need cap retention, cap coming back or a major sweetener. There's nothing to do with OEL. He has a NMC, but they won't be able to deal him anyway and buying him out is the idea worse than doing nothing today.
  3. Except they had to......they are massively over the cap and will now have to try and figure it out in the off season.
  4. How so? They have no value and will either bring lots of cap back, need a lot of retention or will need serious sweeteners. Miller was the best, easiest solution
  5. not true, they could have traded at least one of those guys if they'd taken picks back.
  6. brutal........I honestly wonder if there are too many cooks in this front office and they can't just zero in on some kind of cohesive consensus for a strategy. It's PA goes into one office, takes the advice of that asst GM and then goes into the office of the next one and takes the counter advice and then walks on dpwn the hall!
  7. that's a solid trade, just made at the wrong time. Should have held on to the draft to make that kind of deal. Now they're really screwed themselves
  8. This TDL was a very significant fail for this group. Pick a f***ing lane ffs
  9. it does when every team in the league knows you are majorly over the cap and have to clear out big money.
  10. yup, with no subsequent moves, the timing of the Hronek deal makes no sense. All they did was make life very very difficult for themselves in the off season
  11. You might not be able to Baby in corner, but you sure can put PA/JR in a corner........except they did it to themselves. It's going to be an ugly off season trying to get under the cap
  12. an OEL buyout puts them on the hook for almost $5m when Petey needs to re-signed. That should be a fireable offense, imo
  13. Well if a year down is what someone thinks should happen, then that's goodbye to Petey and Hughes.
  14. Again, what you're advocating is getting rid of Petey and Hughes, correct?
  15. Agreed......I doubt they're shopping him, but he might end up being the sacrifice. That said, he has a very positive relationship with RT I think.
  16. It's not just picks though, it's cap space as well. The picks can be used to find a C at the draft
  17. I wonder what the picks were? They could certainly use them as currency at the draft to find a C
