  1. He and Petey are both perimeter players, they would be better off apart
  2. That looked like. Louganis level dive at the time, but looked more legit on replay
  3. He's starting to turn it up a little every game. He seems like a guy who takes awhile to adjust to new situations and new people
  4. Atrocious? NJ didn't even get to touch the puck for the first 8 mins. Granted they haven't been good the last 5
  5. Agreed, he showed he had good potential and could be an impact player in the league........he didn't stick around long enough to see if it was more than potential.
  6. I said that was value he brought to the team and a role he can play if he were in the lineup. That's still true. Nvm, I see what you were saying.
  7. For 6-7 minutes in the second, I thought for sure they were going to break, but Demko stood tall, the pk reinvigorated the rest of the team and you could feel them start to rally around each other. Talent aside, I think JB & Co have done a masterful job of finding cohesive personalities........this already feels like the most "team" team since 2011
  8. Yeah, that was pretty sweet. You can see the confidence he's playing with. I've been up front about feeling that JB needed to move on from CT, but never, ever because of his ability or performance. It looks like they're committed to him and he's looking fantastic with Hughes........I hope he can stay healthy.
  9. I agree completely. I have no doubts that he will figure out how to impose his game on the top defensive players in the league. I do think he and Boes need to be split up for awhile though. Not only for the shake up, also to spread the talent around a bit so Bo can have a dynamic offensive player on his line, he deserves it. I'd love to see Miller Petey Virt Pearson Bo Boes Ferland Sutter Leivo Schaller Beagle Motte
  10. No argument here, just that it was probably more coincidence than strategy.
  11. never said anything different. He battled hard last night and we saw some fire in his belly. I had no issue with his game
  12. and that's how the Cup winners do it, they lean lard on veteran players.........luckily Van has great youth to go along with great vets
  13. he battled, but he wasn't all that effective, no. He was very very tightly checked last night.
  14. there's 4 lines of fwds and three lines of D, they don't deploy them as 5 man units very often
  15. agreed and Petey finally had some fire last night even though he wasn't overly effective.
  16. the look on his face was one of the best things I've seen in canuckland in awhile
  17. It won't come to that, they will move one of them before the ED, imo.
  18. Except that's exactly how the second half of the season went last year.
