  1. Petey and boes have a tough time getting out of their own end most shifts, if McD gets the puck in the ozone, they're going to be in tough.
  2. The Canucks have been top 3 in injuries each of the last three years I believe. You can absolutely blame injuries if it's key, long term injuries year after year
  3. I agree, but at home they're going to get McD or LD out against Peteys line as much as they can and they have last change. That's not a good matchup for Van
  4. I don't think the Oil are going to be nearly as bad as people think they will. McD and LD can win games on their own and their d is a little more experienced and a little better, imo. Their weakest spot is going to be in net and that's going to cost them wins. I expect McD and LD to be flying tonight, whereas the Canucks are likely to have a growing period with new players coming and trying to build chemistry. Of course, if they lose, the sky will be falling.
  5. Almost exclusively because of injuries. Year after year they show they can play with anyone when they play healthy........the problem is the catastrophic injuries that hit every single year. No team would be able to weather those kinds of injuries and stay competitive, let alone a rebuilding team.
  6. I really don't get the Leivo love from TG. He probably would have been my choice to waive or sit in the press box. No way he should get more mins of pp time over Jake
  7. I like the orca, just not nearly as much as the skate
  8. I don't know either, such a great jersey and the white was almost as good.
  9. yup and it's pretty clear that the players look at him as the leader, and that's really what counts.
  10. I think he'd be a great captain.......in 4-5 years.
  11. Maybe they're going with the Soviet model Eri"K"sson
  12. he gets a lot more practice in Utica than he does in Van once the games start.
  13. it's ridiculous to keep AG up, sitting in the pressbox or getting bottom 6 mins on the wing.
  14. In a few weeks teams will have injuries or might need to tinker and a guy like Baer might be moveable. I know he can still do that, but waiting those three weeks would have helped him save some space I know it's not a huge thing, overall, but I just think he's earned enough respect. I hope we see him back in blue, but I doubt it.
  15. As I said before, I was pretty sure Baer was gone sometime this year, I just wish they did it a different, more respectful way
  16. Miller, that's not even a fair comparable, Miller was one of the top 3 players in pre-season. I'm not sure Pearson outplayed him though
  17. well, developing him as a top 6 cman down in Utica, playing 20 mins a night as the go to guy is a lot more valueable to his development than 12 mins a night as defensive winger
