  1. Agreed, I'm honestly baffled and disappointed. I can't imagine this is a popular move in the dressing room.
  2. I figured Baer might be on his way out at some point, but not this way. What a slap in the face
  3. I'm going to reserve judgement until we know for sure, but I'll be very very disappointed if they waive Baer, and I'm a huge supporter of this management group
  4. And I do agree she probably shouldn't be putting herself in that job or situation if she has ptsd described as "severe"
  5. I agree that it's not some earth shattering thing, at all. However, I don't think minimizing her reactions is fair........we aren't women, we don't know the feeling of being alone and approached by a group of intoxicated men at 2am.
  6. you're not a woman, how can you possibly know how she might have felt in that moment?
  7. you don't make the playoffs on a more capable pk. Great teams have excellent pk's.
  8. He won't get "papered" to Utica.......if he gets sent down, he's actually going to Utica, imo.
  9. I highly doubt that. More likely hes 20 years old and playing against the best players in the world.
  10. Once you're in the playoffs anything can happen. I don't disagree that they are in the beginning stages of their ascent, but JB has made a big jump in depth this year and that's only going to improve from here on out.
  11. Who knows? How many favourites actually end up winning it all? I think they've got a legitimate shot at getting in.........once you get in it, anyone can win it.
  12. I'm sure he had a plan going into the pre-season and that likely had AG in Utica. And though he played well, he also had a lot of rough shifts defensively that showed me he still had some holes in his game. I don't think he's done enough, overall, for JB to alter his plans dramatically.
  13. I think you misspelled "competition" or maybe "depth"
  14. the risk on a long term deal isn't the salary (though it is), but his unability to stay healthy.
  15. I can't imagine anyone even suggesting that Sutter floats or that he is in the twilight of his career. The teams that win Cups have a core made up of players Sutter's age, not Peteys age.
  16. Playing c isn't just about faceoffs, you're also the primary defensive fwd in your own end. If you think AG can remotely carry water for Sutter in that respect, I'm not sure what to say. Ultimately, I think they send AG down, as they should.......it's not going to hurt his development in the least.
  17. I don't disagree about that, but Hughes hasn't done anything on the pp and has had a mediocre camp.
  18. I agree, though it's nice to have TP's size and durability in the lineup. Baer is one of my favourite players, but that's a big gamble on his health
  19. For me, if hes not ready to play C in the NHL, he should be in Utica developing into the top 6 cman they need him to be. He's a cman, he should be developed as such. He's a much more valuable chip as a developed top 6 cman than he is as a top 9 winger. There's no need to force him into the lineup because he had a good pre-season, they are deep at centre and have the luxury of letting him cook. That is the smartest move, imo
  20. If anything they move AG to the wing........3rd line cman is a spot that you have to have someone who can go up against top 6 players on other teams......not just on faceoffs, but in the defensive zone as well.
  21. And I'm sure he will. A lot of hand wringing try his pre-season.......again, pre-season
