  1. out of curiosity, who do you feel is a great 3rd line player in the league?
  2. jesus, he was pretty much on pace to score 20 last year, from the bottom 6. What more do people want?
  3. Jake is a 20 goal guy if healthy, from the bottom 6 no less, and he only costs a little over a million. Why in the world would you trade him? He's one of the best value added players on the team.......you need guys like Jake in order to keep Boes, Horvat, Hughes and Petey together.
  4. I'm on the fence about Leivo. On one hand, he's noticeable as you watch, but if you look deeper, he's not actually doing a lot of constructive things out there. I absolutely agree that he's been gifted a lot of playing time and special teams time for no apparent reason.
  5. He had good shifts and bad ones, but overall his line had a solid night
  6. Didn't say it wasn't a nice dream, but it's been covered and commented on by Canucks brass ad neaseum. They have zero plans to move any time soon. Perhaps in 5 or 10 years, if there's a larger AHL presence in the west they consider it, but it's highly unlikely
  7. Im sure they would.......still not leaving Utica.
  8. I'm not saying it's right, I played that role all through Jr and loved it. It's simply not the way hockey is anymore, for better or for worse
  9. Retaliation is a thing of the past. There's too much parity and teams can't afford to be taking needless penalties where 2 points makes the difference between playing hockey in late April and playing golf
  10. Kind of says something about people who find support "insufferable"
  11. He's played the same game as everyone else. Some good shifts, some bad shifts, but his spot on the team isn't in jeopardy. People need to remember it's preseason
  12. I think it'll still be Eddy and Myers because it smooths out the other pairings a bit.......but we'll likely see Eddy get extra shifts that Myers doesn't. They're both experienced, talented guys and they'll figure out how to play with each other.
  13. I'm not sure Hirsch understand what bubble players means......Baer?
  14. I don't mind him as an analyst, I don't find him to be a very good colour guy.
  15. Tons of great stuff to be excited about, but pretty sloppy at times.
  16. He's been up and down. For the most part that line has been solid
  17. That's why I was choked when they moved Kass, but Ferland definitely has an element of that too
  18. Agreed, they're very similar players, they need partners who bring different elements.
  19. And another shift of some poor clearing passes. The downside of a young team I guess
