  1. Was just asking, I couldn't remember if it was you or another poster who was there. With all the focus on Virt, not much was said about LE.
  2. Yeah, no. There were people wondering what was going on, but I didn't single one single post that was even in the same universe as ones in the training camp thread or the (gasp) Louie Eriksson thread. It was pretty much all civil and on topic.
  3. It was a whisper higher than I'd thought, but no complaints here. If he stays healthy, it's likely a helluva deal and sets a great standard for Petey and QH
  4. Points per game doesn't mean much if you're not actually playing in 15-20 of the games. If Boeser played the same mins with the same deployment as TK, what would his numbers be over 82 games? Still, it's not just about points. Where Brock might have better numbers, TK puts up great numbers and is better defensively and provides more grit. It's not a slight on BB, at all. TK is an up and coming star in the league, same as Boeser is.
  5. Well, one is a professional approach and one, not so much. No one is saying Boes isn't going through something major, but it's got nothing to do with him not being in camp, imo
  6. Hard to say, he's still got a long way to go. He started off like a house on fire, but he limped through the second half of the season as teams started to put their focus on him. That said, the newly purchased depth should help.
  7. I wouldn't say it gives ammunition to Boes', if anything it gives him a very comparable number. They're mostly even for points, but TK has stayed healthy. Boeser plays more mins and more PP, but TK has almost as many points and has far more hits and far more defensive zone starts. To me, they would be valued almost exactly even
  8. If that were true, he'd be signed and on a leave of absence, as agent suggested.
  9. exactly right. There's a reason why JB signed Goldy when he did.........he knew Boeser was not going to be at camp and likely not there to start the season. If he's not seriously burning up the phone lines looking for deals I would be shocked.
  10. so why does do half his starts come in the defensive zone?
  11. I've known a lot of hockey dads in my days and not one of them would want their kids to miss a rep tryout on his behalf, let alone an NHL camp. I get it's a tough time for the family, but I don't see it as a factor, at all.
  12. BB won't be signing for $5.5 on a long term deal like TK, but he will on a short term deal he will, imo. I don't think neither the team nor BB wants a long term deal at this point.
  13. I agree completely he had 8 less points two years ago, 7 less points last year. He's as comparable as it gets, imo.
  14. then he's likely gone, imo. If JB was willing to pay $6-7m per, he'd be signed already
  15. Weisbrod brought it up, specifically, in his interview on the weekend I believe.
  16. not playing a full season yet is a knock against BB and is something that they are using a metric to come up with a contract number. I think the cap hit will be similar, but BB's term will be shorter.
  17. then you've seen the last of Boeser in Van He's no better than TK........numbers are very similar and TK is, imo, a bit more of a complete player
  18. well, we know, form experience, that JB isn't cheap with his contracts. He has a good understanding of a players value to the team and offers fair and balanced contracts, imo.
