  1. It's not deserved, not even remotely. It's disgusting.
  2. I think the Boeser threads are great examples of civil disagreement actually. Everyone loves Boes, I haven't seen disgusting behaviour like this at all. The LE thread on the other hand........
  3. We finally have a good, deep team. Finally excited for a camp and this thread turns into an absolute troll cess pool.......shut it down please.
  4. Only Petey and Hughes will be on that situation and both are likely to be franchise level players. I just happen to think Boeser isn't.
  5. How am I throwing someone under the bus? I love Boes, love having him on the team. I just don't feel he's worth that much of the cap. It's nor personal Fredo, it's just business
  6. I'm serious.......it's not impossible and given the right return I'd be fine with it it. If he's going to command a huge chunk of the cap now, I'd rather spend that cap elsewhere and make sure Bo, Petey, Hughes, OJ, Demko and Virt all stay in blue and green
  7. He was on pace for 20 last year. If healthy, 20 should be the lower bar. As I've said in other threads, there's more players who can do de down to a third line role on occassion, giving Jake more of a chance in the top 6. Prior to this year, he's been stuck because who else was going to fill that spot? Goldy? Baer? Boes'?
  8. I actually think most have been pretty level headed and kept the focus on numbers and term and not personal. They saved all the irrational vitriol for Virtanen for some stupid reason.
  9. Did he? Can you provide that quote? I must have missed it
  10. Schieffle for Boes? And how many of Vancouver's first round picks? Two?
  11. There is zero chance Boeser would miss camp. That's a total non start, imo.
  12. If you can't stay healthy, projections don't matter and games missed is obviously something JB and Co are factoring into their deal, per Weisbrods interview yesterday.
  13. He would've hit 20 last year if healthy. I don't think 25 goals and maybe 40-45 points is out of the realm of possibility. I think there's a chance he gets some top 6 mins because they have more interchangeable players this year. Last season he was largely pigeonholed in a defensive role because he was the most equipped top 6ish winger to do so. With Miller and Ferland in the mix and able to play that role too, I think we'll see all three move around the lineup. If so, Jake might actually get some chance at offense.
  14. Me too, if he's healthy and gets some linemates with some offense, I could see him hitting 25 goals.
  15. He did, but so did the whole team, Petey most notably.
  16. When they trim their roster and Roussel goes on ltir there's no issue.......even without Roussel on ltir I doubt there's an issue. I also think JB has no intention of doling out a huge contract to BB.
  17. TG trolled the media hard to give Jake a little extra motivation, if you ask me.
  18. I don't disagree with that, at all. But aside from elite young guys, that's pretty much the norm. Let's not forget, Jake hasn't been given a chance in an offensive role either, his zone starts are heavily defensive and linemates are bottom 6. Really, the biggest issue Jake has faced is that he is a very capable bottom 6 player, much moreso than other wingers and that ability has kept him out of offensive roles, which is unfortunate.
  19. What I don't get is all the "maybe Jake finally gets it", or "maybe this is his year"........the guy has progressed every year and would have scored 20 (or more) last year if not for injury........I think he's got it all along.
