  1. defense isn't just defensemen. Ohlund and salo were excellent defenders and malik was adequate. Jovo was more of a rover and Sopel........well. Allen was young and didn't play much. That said, it was more the fwds leaving them all out to dry
  2. Marner is at an age where we would see the most dramatic improvements........that said, they obviously help each other.
  3. You could say tavares had a career year playing with Marner, just as convincingly. Obviously it's painful complimenting anyone from the Leaves, but Marner is one of the best, most complete players in the league, imo.
  4. agreed, it's crucial they get BB signed to a good, very team friendly deal.
  5. AM is a great player, but he's the 3rd or 4th best player on that team, imo. For me, It's Marner, tavares, Reilly and then Mathews. Marner plays 5v5, PP, PK and is out in the last minute, regardless if they need a goal or need to prevent one. To me, he's the MVP of that team.
  6. He's the best player on their team and Dumbass set the bar with AM. If he's a more valuable player than Mathews, he should be getting paid more. That's why I want JB to play hardball with Boeser, he's a top 5 player on the team, but a long way from the top and all the players who are up for renewal after this will use him as the standard, just like Marner is with AM.
  7. well considering Fiala just signed for $3m a year, Boes should come in around $5m per
  8. That team completely ignored the defensive side of the game and let Clouts out to dry in unimaginable ways. He wasn't nearly as bad as most think and was a great personality on that club.
  9. everyone thinking he should break his contract so he can come to NA. He's paying his dues, that's not a bad thing.
  10. The KLM line might be the greatest line in the history of hockey
  11. The panic here is laughable
  12. Imo, Boeser will be the odd man out eventually anyway. So if his demands are out of scope now, they might as well listen if the deals are there.
  13. It's odd for a teenager to get minimal ice time in a top 5 men's pro League to start his career?
  14. Awesome...........Larionov was my favourite part of the Cold War
  15. And plays pk and is out in the last minute, regardless of whether they need a goal, or need to prevent one.
  16. 23 people are talking about this Faulk, who scored 11 goals and posted 35 points in 82 games last season, is entering the final year of his current contract and carries a $4.83 million cap hit for this season. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next July. Teaford notes Faulk would fill a need for the Ducks, who currently have just one right-handed shot on their blueline in Josh Manson. Luke DeCock of The News and Observer reported Thursday that the Hurricanes have had "longstanding interest" in Ducks winger Ondrej Kase and added he would be surprised if 23-year-old isn't involved in a deal between the two sides. 267 people are talking about this Kase, a seventh-round pick in 2014, was limited to 30 games due to a shoulder injury last season, posting 11 goals and 20 points. He had 20 goals and 38 points in 66 games during the 2017-18 season. Faulk's name began to emerge in the rumour mill last week after the Hurricanes signed defenceman Jake Gardiner to a four-year, $16.2 million contract. 114 people are talking about this The most interesting thing about that article was Luke DeCock
  17. I would really really really love to see the reaction if he outplays QH.
  18. In 4 of the games they also allowed the fewest goals against.
