  1. The organization has been pretty clear that Demko has another year in Utica before being promoted. They have a definite timeline for his career and, to me, it looks like they intend to stick to it. If he comes in and kills it in pre-season and gives them no choice but to keep him, then everyone wins!
  2. Isn't he playing with Backlund and Nyquist?
  3. Chill out.........he's just saying it's possible that he might need some seasoning, not that he absolutely needs to start in Utica. People can have different opinions
  4. don't you know you're not allowed to say that? Not without attempted ridicule anyway
  5. I don't think gaudette looked ready for the NHL in his short time
  6. I'm surprised they didn't enforce the suspension in this tourney
  7. It's pretty clear to me that Palmu is a player. HIs short stature and solid core is actually a benefit to him, not a hinderance. When you watch video of him, he is very hard to knock off the puck and he uses that thick to his advantage while protecting the puck. Surprisingly, he maintains the agility and quickness of a smaller player, and I don't think anyone can question his heart or his work ethic. He's a very enticing, interesting prospect and I'm pumped to see him in Utica. I have zero issue with him getting a 3 year ELC.
  8. I think most of us would have been thrilled with one award for one of the prospects. What's happened this season feels too good to be true
  9. wow honestly, it doesn't even seem real
  10. I agree, I think he'll be in Van and that the same standard, coming out of the SHL, doesn't really apply. However, it's certainly not impossible that he will need time in Utica and if he does, it will be nothing but good for him
  11. he did have a good season in the pro's, very very good actually
  12. one can hope, but I do agree.
  13. Or not.........if they lose and get added, maybe Try gets screwed over again and it's the final straw driving him back to the NHL!!!!!
  14. I think he'll make the Canucks in September, but it's not a lock and if he comes over and doesn't light it up, time in Utica will only help him.
  15. what's wrong with that? It's a huge jump between the SHL and the NHL and very few have been able to translate their SHL success to NHL success. Quit being a douche and trying to shame people's opinions
  16. I'm confused, I thought the SHL MVP award was already handed out, to another player?
  17. what a year for Canucks prospects
  18. I'd be over the moon if OJ is as effective as Salo.
  19. My view on dmen is that being the drivers of a play isn't their job and, in fact, it often puts them wildly out of position. Their job is win the puck battle and make a good, quick first pass to transition to attack and let the fwds drive the play.
  20. you missed the one guy who is probably best at getting the puck up ice, Virtanen
  21. different roles play to different skill sets. It all comes down to what role the coach needs filled.
  22. I find guddy to be a solid player
  23. some time in Utica would have had no negative effect on his game. It may have, however, allowed him training time and allowed his body to better withstand the grind of an NHL season however, we'll never know. My point is every bit as valid as yours.
