  1. I agree completely. One could make the argument that with his speed and skill, he is an ideal 3rd liner in today's NHL
  2. they could have waived, if asked. LV was not going to take one Sedin
  3. It would be interesting to see what JB does there. With all the great things he's done, I feel like his loyalty is a bit of an achilles heel at times. He could have exposed one twin (or both) to the EXD last year and protected Sbisa........no one was going to take either Sedin, so long as they agreed. If they re-sign Edler, do they stay loyal and protect him or expose him and make sure a younger guy is protected?
  4. 5+ years ago, I'd agree, but there's never been an era more suited to small players than now. There's very little physical contact and truly hard rough play along the boards is almost non-existent now. Not saying he doesn't have an uphill battle, but this era favours the small guys.
  5. we don't even know what the roster is going to look like in 2 years. I don't think Granlund and/or Baer is even here at that point. Certainly not both
  6. As opposed to likely making more in the next 8 games than your parents make in a year and burn a year off your elc? I want him to play for Utica, but I absolutely see why most players will opt for signing a contract now and finish the year in the NHL.
  7. I meant a tough sell to get him to sign an ATO so he can play in Utica for the playoffs.
  8. I'm hoping AG's compete level and somewhat early exit makes him want to play some post season hockey this year.
  9. It's a tough sell though........c'mon JB
  10. That means he goes back for another year of college. It doesn't seem realstic to me
  11. There is no one formula for a Captain. I would say Iggy was one of the greatest captains of all time and he was always quick to drop his gloves. Though there's a good chance they will pick Bo, I think Guddy is the guy I would choose. He's got that something that a Captain needs.
  12. you haven't blocked that dufus yet?
  13. I think they would have picked him anyway
  14. Oh yes, it's glorious. Mine is like a HoF of CDC dumbasses
  15. I've been using the ignore button like crazy lately
  16. I think Goldy is likely destined to be an addition to a bigger deal at the draft
  17. Saunter plays smart, but I'm not sure he's a good enough skater to make it to the next level.
  18. still the same, I would think. If he doesn't get that, he doesn't move him
  19. if he doesn't play in Van and goes to Utica, in that scenario, I guess he has to sign a PTO to be eligible.......thus not burning a year off his ELC
  20. The season is really grinding on him at this point, he looks burned out a bit. I see him ending with 32 or 33
  21. For Guddy or Edler, with a 1st? maybe, but not for tanev. He's a premium defensive dman in the league and the return needs to reflect that. JB does not need to trade him, so he can hold out to get what he wants.
  22. I can't imagine any scenario where Tanev is traded and a grade A prospect isn't coming back
  23. then they can watch him suit up for another team.
  24. sadly, yes you do. It's a smaller, quicker man's game now.
