  1. I think, in the last month or two, we're also seeing the difference between college trained kids and kids from Jr. The grind of a long season is definitely showing on Boeser, imo.
  2. I hope they don't put him into the lineup next year before he's ready, physically. They need to be patient with him
  3. I agree, I think it was Pettersson al the way, with Hischier second
  4. they've got a good thing going in Utica right now. Making the post season will be a huge thing for them and they need Demko to do that.
  5. I agree that they need dmen, but in the top 10, my preference is always with a fwd, especially in the top 5. Dmen are too hard to nail down at draft age and outstanding dmen can come from later picks. Picks 4-6 I would prefer Tkachuk, but wouldn't cry at Boqvist, I think he's going to be a rock solid dman.
  6. While I agree that Svech is probably the clear #2 in the draft, and if they get that pick they will take him, JB has amassed a nice collection of skilled players and Tkachuk would bring some sandpaper (with skill) to the org........something that is missing in spades.
  7. are you being serious? You don't skate through there, with the puck, with your head down. Hope he's ok
  8. agreed.......I think any more than that and it changes his game.
  9. just find someone willing to let you use their shaw or telus login info and stream it on their online services. Works good for me.
  10. with the way the game is played now, he will be fine.......excel probably.
  11. especially on the big ice where OJ has to stick with the puck carrier until he's almost at the goal line. If he plays the gap between the puck carrier and the trailer, then he lets the puck carrier have a lane to the net.
  12. Eight times out of ten that puck goes off his stick and into the stands and OJ looks great. To me, that's one of those big ice plays......if he backs off the puck carrier, then the guy has room to drive to the net.
  13. I would normally agree with you, but I'm seeing the same trend in the playoffs as I do in the reg season. Little to no body contact and a much lower intensity than there used to be. Sucks for fans of what hockey used to be, great for guys like EP and all the other little guys that seem to be dominating these days.
  14. size doesn't matter like it used to now that hitting has become a thing of the past. If there were ever an era fora guy like EP to shine, this is it. When people look back, it will be the era of the skinny white kid
  15. Those players rarely play though, it's more just to let them see what it's like being a pro
  16. They also need Sergachev, and his entry level deal, on the roster to counteract the large number of expensive contracts they have.
  17. I think he's probably going to end up in the mid-30's, maybe into the 40's occassionally. If he grows in into a legit PP guy, he may push the ceiling to 50
  18. I actually though CH was the best player in that tourney. Tavares was the trigger guy, but CH did all the leg work
  19. Juolevi was, by far, the best Finn in the two games I watched in this tournament. He's never going to be flashy, but he is a pretty sure thing top 3 dman. People just need to be patient.
  20. with the NHL moving toward a largely no contact league, size isnt much of a factor now anyway. The NHL is pretty much a Euro league
  21. is it me, or does he resemble Virt a little bit? Just in the face and hair
  22. Liljegren Glass Petersson that was my list, but I am thrilled with EP at #5.
