  1. From January on, his game was pretty consistent I thought.
  2. He played like that last season, the stat line just doesn't show it
  3. Partly because he doesn't have the wing span to make a move like EP did there.
  4. The move toward younger, cheaper players on NHL rosters has had a very negative effect on the game, as a whole, if you ask me
  5. Labate or Virt would be much more likely in that case. Boeser isnt the only prospect, he may not even end up being the #1 call up for an offensive role if Goldy is sent down as well.
  6. I don't care about line numbers, I'm talking about ice time. Bo's line and the twins are going to eat up a bunch of mins and Sutter will be a bit of a shutdown line. There's not going to be a lot of ice left after that. I would rather Boeser get big mins in Utica than watch the bulk of the game from the bench in Van.
  7. Depends on the role that needs to be filled. If a bottom 6 player goes down, it's likely labate or Virt. If it's top 6, it's Goldy or Boes
  8. I don't see a spot for him in the top 6, and if he's not top 6, playing with offensive players, why not Utica where he is? If he comes in and significantly outplays his competition, he will likely be in a Stetcher situation.......start in Utica until they figure out how to make room for him
  9. well he likely couldn't make that play in the NHL. Still, very encouraging
  10. Is this your first year watching the NHL? Of course it's not an even playing field for players Who have proven they can play and produce at the NHL level and players who have proven nothing. Jesus, it's like you have no actual hockey experience whatsoever........it's always been that way.
  11. Then they will likely go to Utica for top 6 mins and injury depth like they should.
  12. aside from goals, what about Boeser's game makes you think he's ready? You do a lot of moaning about it, but never really give an argument why he should have a spot reserved for him.
  13. I would say 99% of the posters here haven't actually seen him play in Utica, yet still they have the information necessary to slam him
  14. I think their ofense will be the most improved area, how could it not be based on the improvements to the PP lineup alone? In the end, as it has in the last few seasons, it will come down to injuries. If they can stay healthy, they will be in the hunt
  15. If they stay healthy, they are as in the playoff mix as any team
  16. After this summer, I don't see anyway the Canucks are in a bottom 5 spot unless the get a ridiculous number of injuries to multiple key players.
  17. I think his body language spoke volumes.......he had the facial expressions and mannerisms of a kid who was desperately homesick. Not much the org can do in that case.
  18. I honestly don't think and hope they didn't have Makar in the top 5. IMO he's got, by far, the highest bust potential of the top picks.
  19. I wish we knew who the Canucks would have picked 1st overall. I suspect it would have been the same pick no matter where they picked.
  20. There is zero downside to him spending time in Utica, they exist for prospects to develop. No matter how ready some fans think he is, or want him to be, the fact is that he's only played 9 pro games, and they no longer mean anything, zero. No one knows how ready his game, his 200 game, really is.
  21. With vsnek in the mix now, I'd say it's probably 60/40 he's in utica
  22. That wasn't a feather soft pass either. To get that one timer off with that kind of authority on a hard pass is incredibly hard, even for the best players in the world. I get happier about this pick every day.
  23. I would rather see him get 50-60 points and big mins in Utica, than 25-30 points in a limited role on a possible cellar dweller in Van.
  24. Why? Because he scored 4 goals in meaningless games? I was very happy with his intro to the league, but it means absolutely nothing at this point. He's at 50/50 whether he starts in Van or Utica, imo.
  25. I read that as cycling, as in bikes.
