  1. From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. Your kind cling to your flesh, as if it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass that you call a temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal…
  2. I suspect its that the Canucks don't want to pay the server costs for something that ultimately doesn't bring in any revenue, or there has been a massive restructuring of the NHL website's infrastructure and they don't see any value in continuing to host a forum for a single team. We were as far as I was aware the only officially team hosted message board in the NHL for quite some time now. Anyways, after well over a decade and thousands and thousands of posts here, I suppose there was always a point where it would end. Thanks for the ride y'all. I'm sorry I won't get to see this place rupture when the Canucks actually win the cup. I hope my obnoxious, low effort comments brought a smile to your face once or twice. If I offended you with them or we ever had hostility, I hope its all water under the bridge. I hope to see you celebrating somewhere when the Canucks finally lift Lord Stanley's Mug. Go Canucks Go
  3. I'm sure we can do better than 'Fil the Thrill' as far as nicknames go. Especially considering that's pretty heavily associated with Kessel in the NHL.
  4. I don't care what you think. Defer to whoever you want, your opinion is worthless to me. I said I don't like the way something looks and your response was "yeah but it makes money". So? Complete non-sequitur and now you're being passive aggressive and smarmy over a concept that flew completely your head.
  5. I don't think anybody is being swayed into hiring KPMG for their business because of a massive sign at a hockey game. It seems like a poor use of resources on their behalf, but I'm not a partner at KPMG so its no skin off my ass. What I don't like is the giant glowing KPMG logo on the scoreboard, I just don't think it looks very nice. As for the BC Ferries advertisement that used to be in its place, that one is extra dumb and particularly annoying to anyone who has grown up on or lived on the Island for any period of time. The BC Ferries are a crown corporation. They operate as part of the infrastructure of British Columbia. They should not be paying for some of the most expensive advertising space in the arena, just like I don't want to see an advertisement for the Massey Tunnel or Metro Vancouver Water Services.
  6. The KPMG sign is dumb, but its still better than the inexplicably stupid BC Ferries advertisement they used to have under the scoreboard.
  7. With real fatalities to help alleviate the cap crunch.
  8. Right like when Biz said on his podcast "I hope this story is true otherwise we're going to look like idiots" when breaking it.
  9. It all but certainly is, but he didn't name drop him for plausible deniability. Commodore is deranged. His obsession with Babcock is the kind of thing that warrants a restraining order. Biznasty isn't much better. I'm not a Babcock fan, but its pretty hard to take these allegations seriously with the info that has come out, and the fact that Spittin Chiclets is still doubling down on them tells you their worth as media.
  10. Seems legit. I definitely trust this man who certainly doesn't have a deranged blood feud against Mike Babcock and "won't name" who is giving him info but heavily hints at who it is.
  11. I hope this is the end of Bissonette as a hockey personality. I’m sick of this clown. It’s doubtful though.
  12. It’s Bissonnette “reporting” this, which checks out because he is an utterly deranged Leafs simp, so he probably still has it out for Babcock and is using it to drive engagement for his podcast.
  13. Interesting choice, Lowry is a throwback kind of captain in a lot of ways. The boomers complaining Quinn is too small/too American to be our captain are seething right now that we don't have a big strong 20 pt good ol' Canadian boy to slap the C on. No disrespect to Lowry, I would love him on this team. You just don't see many captains with his mold anymore.
  14. I love hearing "all in" on a team that hasn't legitimately made the playoffs in a decade. Inspires confidence.
  15. The Hockey Guy is the worst. Its really quite astonishing how popular he's become.
  16. Would you do Podkolzin for another team's cap dump and a mid round pick? That's the closest comparable to this trade from our end.
  17. In a heartbeat. It would never happen but I would absolutely do this.
  18. Suck it Edmonton. You take your two generational talents, I'll take the bigger jumbotron. And the fact that I don't have to live in Edmonton.
  19. I think we sniff the playoffs. This team should be good enough to at least be on the bubble. That said the way things have gone the past few years I wouldn't be shocked at 26th. Though the only analysis this article offers is "the Canucks are currently over the salary cap", and its ESPN so I don't hold their opinion in high esteem.
