  1. Its been forever since I've seen that movie. I remember I really liked The Rescuers Down Under as a kid. Don't remember too much about the first one. I'll have to re watch it.
  2. Glad to see someone rate it as highly as I did.
  3. Iron Man 3: 7/10 Very entertaining, a good popcorn flick. Tony Stark is as snarky as ever. Despite the advertising, this movie is not darker than the first two. It starts off very serious, but switches to its usual campy tone halfway through. In fact it gets particularly cheesy near the end. This movie is deceptive, it's not what you'd expect based on the trailers. A problem I found was the villain's motivation, it was very dumb. Not as good as the first, but still a well made, entertaining movie. I would recommend it.
  4. Seahawks picks don't look too promising, but Schneider and Carroll are known for steals. The team is so stacked as is Its unlikely many of these guys will get much more than special teams/backup jobs next season.
  5. You're joking right? Thats part of what makes Tarantino movies so great, the over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek violence. His movies are all about fun.
  6. I don't think you understand what I was saying. I'm saying its good that they WEREN'T integral to the plot, which I really enjoyed. If you didn't thats your thing, but having Mario and Sonic running around as side characters would've totally sucked, no matter which way you look at it.
  7. The references were put in as a subtle nod to gamers. It was done really well. I like that they weren't hamfisted in and made integral to the story. It would have ruined the movie.
  8. New City & Colour song. Very poppy, very catchy. And of course Dallas Green's voice is awesome.
  9. But drags you to twilight. Anyway, I'd give it a 6.5/10. It was entertaining and I got a few laughs out of it.
  10. Plotwise its not a soap opera. The plot is actually good. The only Soap Opera element is that their are multiple, co-current intersecting storylines. And the books only read like a script if you've never seen a script before in your life.
  11. Yes. I think it was caught between two seperate shots of the US flag riddled with bullet holes waving defiantly in the wind.
  12. Olympus Has Fallen- 3/10 The little bit of enjoyment I got out of this movie was from laughing at how ridiculous, cheesy and hackneyed it was. Suspension of disbelief is nigh impossible, none of the scenarios in it were remotely plausible, even for a turn-your-brain-off action movie. I don't mind ridiculous action, but this took itself so seriously and was so poorly done that it was almost comical. Also, I hope you enjoy shots of the american flag waving in the wind, because this movie was full of them. The action wasn't even good enough to make up for it. GI Joe: Retaliation-5/10 Cheesy and dumb, but unlike Olympus Has Fallen it was done in an acceptable way. Action was at least half decent.
  13. Not quite sure why, but I'm really liking this 8 bit version of californication.
  14. Maybe, but given the target audience, and the fact that you have to rest on the acting chops of Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, I don't have my hopes up too high for it. That's my problem with the The Dark Knight Rises.
  15. Why? You can see prettier girls doing lewder things on the internet without having to shell out 12 bucks. And you don't have to sit through the poor attempts at plot and acting.
  16. I love this song. Really atmospheric, takes you to a cold, lonely December night. The lyrics are great too.
  17. I like these toques because they look like the one Johnny Canuck wears
  18. Looks like this is going to be the year without snow for Victoria.
  19. Given all the weird statistics that were in favour of the Canucks winning the cup during the 2010-2011 season, I've learned not to trust them.
  20. I could not disagree with you more. I think its fantastic.
