  1. I guess you haven't watched Demko this year at all either.
  2. Going to the game tonight. I really hope they at least make it entertainment. Losing is one thing, watching them impotently stand around on the power play playing hot potato is another.
  3. Kane is not in his prime anymore but he's still a really good player. If they want to do something now they're better served keeping him than dealing him for futures.
  4. Sat said the team won't make any moves until US Thanksgiving, not that they shouldn't or are unable to. So many people are unable to distinguish between a description of something and an endorsement of it.
  5. He needs to get those 'Assits' up.
  6. Have they considered bringing back the drop pass? Surely that will fix it.
  7. Dune - 5/10 This was the driest, beigest movie I've ever seen.
  8. Vegas has a pathological need to collect every big name former captain superstar that pops up on the market, regardless of cost.
  9. Kane's caused issues everywhere he's been. I don't want him anywhere near this team. Be honest with yourself, if he weren't a BC boy you wouldn't either.
  10. Oh yeah he'd definitely make it to Abby if you tried to assign him, no other team would be interested.
  11. Calgary is gonna run him into the ground with how much they're playing him and the back half of that contract is going to be a problem.
  12. No. Seider has played 9 games. Does he look good? Absolutely, but the value there is completely off and I would not trade a young established top line winger for a guy who is still a prospect. Think of it the other way, if you were Philly, would you trade Provorov for Podkolzin? Or if you were Calgary would you trade Hanifin for him? I remember people clamouring for the team to sell the farm for Madison Bowey back when he was with the Capitals. And Honka. And Kylington. And Fabbro. And Gostisbehere. And Foote. And Gudbranson. And pick any other highly touted prospects that fit a team need and people here were willing to trade the next 50 first rounders and the deed to Roger's Arena for. Am I saying Seider is going to pan out like these guys? Not at all. I'm saying if you're going to trade an extremely valuable piece like Boeser (which I don't think is a good idea anyway) I want an established NHLer coming back. This team needs goals as well as defenseman anyway, so you'd be robbing Peter to pay Paul. On top of that I don't think Detroit does this either. They clearly love Seider to draft him so highly and he fits perfectly into their rebuild plans.
  13. Bizarro world. Normally people here are clamoring to overpay to bring local boys home. Now we need to steer clear because everyone from BC is unapologetically evil.
  14. Imagine having the strength of your team allegedly being its forward corps and then getting shutout by Mikko freaking Koskinen. Edit: Didn't see Boeser's goal at the very end there, but I think the spirit of this post is still valid.
  15. It's a tie between the first game I went to, when my mom got tickets and a hotel for my dad and I for Christmas. It was my first time visiting Vancouver, or a big city in general and seeing an NHL hockey game, and just a great experience overall. The second was when I filled out an online survey where if you completed it they offered you 2 tickets to a preseason game. I did the survey but by the time I finished it they ran out of comped tickets. I thought nothing of it until a couple weeks later I got an email from the Canucks apologizing for it and asking me if I'd like tickets for a regular season game instead. After saying yes they sent me a list of games to choose from. I picked a game against Dallas because that was one where I could take my dad to it, and when I got the tickets they were actually great seats. Lower bowl above Marky but high enough to get a good view of the whole ice. I was expecting the nosebleed, cheapest in the house ones available. I know its not much for an organization to give out their own tickets but it actually meant a lot to me. They were under no obligation to do that but they still reached out and it made me feel extremely appreciated as a fan.
  16. I remember this guy could be had in the late rounds in NHL 14 and always freaked out and turned into a first line player.
  17. I'm not really a superstitious guy, but I know hockey is a very superstitious sport and I think it would be bad vibes for lack of a better term for a team to raise a Stanley Cup banner for a different team winning it. Players won't even touch the cup before they've won it, or even the conference trophies. This isn't even getting into the optics of it.
  18. All you people saying Ottawa doesn't raise banners for their early 1900s cups clearly dont know much about the Senators. They're the worst culprit of all. Not only do they have a banner for each of them, but they actively pretend they're the same team that won them.
