As you may have noticed it's incredibly hard to get a top pair dman. OEL trade was a trade where he hoped he would be able to return to his former self . A gamble that failed and in part the sedins should be blamed for that as well. I can imagine a scenario where OEL was in communication with the twins and claimed his decline was due to his situation. Being on the Canucks he'd return to his all star ways and we would have a true #1 dman for once. Like I said, failed experiment. It should be clear now we need to draft dmen asap. For me though, I did not see an OEL trade or a giving up of a 9 overall. All I saw was a dumping of loui Ericsson. And for that I will be eternally grateful.

Last night the puck came off the boards to a kraken player near the center of the ice. That player was covered by TM s d partner. But he went chasing after him leaving the kraken winger wide open on his side . He got about half way there then turned back to cover his man. That sort of stuff makes no sense. His reaction time is so slow!!!! Not sure any system can correct that. Lately when he screws up his facial expression doesn't even look upset. I think Tyler has gotten used to himself. Maybe he could benefit from a Chris Tanev type partner.

Tyler Myers has all the physical attributes to be a great d man but he can't think fast enough. Lock him in a room with a high end tetris game and don't let him out until he beats the highest level. Otherwise I've had this feeling for a while we may be able to convert him to the wing. Serious.

The value of the Tyler mottes can't be emphasized enough. We let guys like that go and won't pay them an extra 500k but give a guy like Brock almost 7 mil. These are big mistakes to take guys like Motte for granted. You cant win without guys like that.

His backchecking and his turnovers are two separate problems. He needs shorter shifts and to not try to be too fancy. If he puts that first then the offense without losses will be more important overall for the the team

Alot of miller's back checking issue are because he's gassed. Imo he needs shorter shifts and less overall ice time and we will see that sort of thing decline.

Bruce is on the hottest with management possibly firing him. I wonder if management is on the hotseat with aqua and doesn't know it. Nothing would really surprise me.
