  1. Christ any other storyline would have been more interesting even if they are cringey. England-Argentina, Falklands, 86 HoG, 98, 02 Portugal-Argentina, Ronaldo vs Messi Morocco-Argentina, African team in the final No, we're going to get what the Sheiks wanted all along, their beloved PSG star vs Messi, f-ing yawn, this WC can go to hell.
  2. No one cares if a favourite wins it... again, one many of us have seen win twice already in our lifetime. No one is against you winning it, we just don't care if you do. Qatari money and PSG, along with Messi... yeah I hope the Sheiks go home crying AFAIC.
  3. That's not good, best result for us would be a tie right now.
  4. Does anyone wear a "normal" number on the team? Off the top of my head 40, 43, 53, 57, 70, 74, 81, 88, 92, 96 Not that it matters, I think players should be able to pick what they want.
  5. Sounds like the old saying about the Royal Canadian Air Force during the cold war, hell even to this day, Flying yesterday's aircraft tomorrow!
  6. Or George with the Penske file, Rutherford is definitely not Penske material.
  7. I honestly never understood that irrational hatred for us. They won the one playoff series if you don’t count the covid play in, I mean are their panties in a knot because of what Bertuzzi said to their fans? Like that was 20 years ago, get over it.
  8. I remember the top one, I was at that one. Canucks were up 2-0 then 4-2, let in 3 goals in the 3rd. Then tied it 5-5 with not much time left, and won in OT on the PP if I remember correctly
  9. Favourite game on the NES was Contra, I remember the first time I beat it without the extra lives cheat, pretty sure I was in my 20s, haha. Wolfenstein 3d Police Quest
  10. Because the people who benefit from these things are the ones who parrot it. People need to start questioning why these people have these opinions instead of just taking their made up anecdotes at face value.
  11. Numbnuts on this board had the audacity to say we should have drafted Kopitar when Bourdon was killed. I think they were banned though, although they likely found their way back.
  12. How does the Sikh community view this? Are these guys divisive among Sikh Canadians? Are they well regarded or mostly despised?
  13. Like the Crawford Canucks, or the Vigneault Canucks, or the god I don’t even remember the guy with the satche, whatever his name was. yeah watching that game brought up old memories of this team.
  14. Since 2011? They weren't a tough team then either, they showed time and time again how mentally fragile they were when things didn't go their way. They simply did so well in 2011 and the 2012 regular season on sheer raw talent and things coming together. Before that the Blackhawks were living rent free in their heads and almost continued to do so, then the Kings demolished anything that was left mentally.
  15. Still think they need to change what a penalty punishment is. I'd say harsher punishments for stickwork but maybe have a card system like soccer instead. First crosscheck is 5 minutes, second is automatic ejection, but the opposing team doesn't get a powerplay unless the crosscheck prevented a clear scoring opportunity.
  16. Well if I had a gun pointed to my head and had to throw my support behind some random billionaire, Musk certainly isn't a terrible option, better than Bozo, the Koc*s, Sorrow.
  17. I don't know if Vancouver is the best city in the world, but I've been through there nearly a dozen times since it was build and am not sure what you mean at all. It's certainly a lot nicer than most European Airports which all have the same dreary bland almost urban shopping mall like look.
  18. Said Bull, Buli, Buli Buli Bulis, and I’m here and I’m there and I’m Janne B and I’m everywhere…. Wonder how many here remember that.
  19. Yeah but this is a remnant from Gretzky's Oilers, and even with Gretzky they were a complete woe is me team. Naslund said his leadership style was affected by Messier and Messier was definitely a woe is me piece of garbage, the only difference between him and our captains is he was surrounded by some of the greatest teams in history. So from Messier, to Naslund, to the Sedins, to Horvat, this doesn't suprise me at all.
