      I've already said that if you removed cap from the conversation, this bottom six looked decent until we hit Vegas.

      I don't think it's too much to ask to have someone like Rafferty or Juolevi fill in the Stecher hole.  Asking any one of our young guys to fill in the Tanev hole this year is just asking for trouble.

      Problem is that while Stecher isn’t a top 4 guy and is best suited for third pairing duty, he has shown the ability to ‘fill-in’ if somebody in our top 4 guy is out of the lineup for a few games or stretches of games.  He is the only guy at present that can do that.  I’m obviously not referring to guys like Edler (who likely will be hurt at times during the season), Myers or Hughes.  Guys like Benn can barely handle 3rd pairing duty as it is (losing his spot to journeyman like Fanta this past season).
