our chance of falling was about 1/5th the probability of our shot of getting Bedard. And i fully expected it to happen

In my defense, this thread's post/60 is sky high

This should have been us as soon as SJ swept us in 2013.

No one expects that. Hopefully he pulls a Tavares

It'll be so us to have the blackhawks rebuild, spearheaded by two vancouver fanboy prospects, faster and do more damage than us with our franken-tool

Don't recall we ever did only down. Staying pat is my victory here.

The fact that Chicago didn't lose their first considering the precedent set by Arizona for far less or not excluded from the lotto is a travesty.

Hahahaha f**k you daly

Canucks 3% chance. Leafs <2% (4 teams out of 204)

From the 2014-15 season Gillis NTCs 1. Edler (expired in 2019, Benning gave him an NMC after) 2. Daniel (retired 2017/18) 3. Henrik (retired 2017/18) 4. Burrows (traded 2017) 5. Hamhuis (left in 2016) 6. Higgins (would have left in 2017, bought out in 2016) 7. Hansen (traded 2017) Luongo was $800k dead cap by this time. (before his retirement and BS retro penalty) The handcuff period seems to be two to three years and the number of NTCs a bit less what you're making it out to be. Unless there's 5/6 players i'm missing from our roster? Keep in mind the NTCs Benning chose to give to Miller, Vrbata, Loui, Roussel, Beagle. Guy was his own worst enemy.

Elias Pettersson projected to be the runner up for the Selke Trophy
DSVII replied to Elias Pettersson's topic in Canucks Talk
Counter point. The Norris is literally an award for defense and not given to the best defending defensemen. Offense has weighed more heavily usually. By that metric of we talk points. Petey has almost 75% more production than Bergy. It's more about being two way dominant than defending. Very rarely do you see Norris nominees who aren't double digit in goals and a healthly ppg production. Even if we count even strength production Petey has produced 50% more EV points than Bergeron last season. (68pts vs 43pts) And personally I don't agree with it. I'd love to see Pelech or Slavin type player win a Norris too. -

Reputational award at this point. Petey played almost 300 more min than Bergeron too. ~21 min per game vs ~17 min. -
I listen to him to get an outsiders take on the Canucks for those two videos he posts on us each year. It's great to see what we as a fanbase may have missed and where my fan goggles may need to be taken off (see sig) And of course. The tears. The 2000s-2010s Leafs have more in common with the JB era Canucks than people like to admit.

Is There Anything We Can Do to Bring About a Change in Ownership?
DSVII replied to TFerguson's topic in Canucks Talk
Curious debs. How does our fanbase define contending? Last few years it felt like making playoffs was enough for some folks here. And Bettman takes Vancouver and the CAD market for granted yes but I highly doubt he'd authorize a team to exit vancouver. We indirectly pay for Arizona's bills!
