We are avid campers, so we had a generator, just not a proper backup heat source, so nights were pretty cold. I have a 35 min commute to work, so I got to see first hand how bad it is.
I'm in Cedar, commute to Duncan for work. Yellowpoint is still a disaster, as is Lake Cowichan, Cow bay and parts of Nanaimo. Trees wider than me have toppled. Multiple houses crushed, cars destroyed.. A lady who was a tenter died from a tree as well.
