Nope- never cheered for another tea.

Though I did declare free agency, and went looking for another team to follow.

however, with J.R. stepping back, and no longer undercutting his employees; and team owner's actually cutting cheques for causes, rather than just lip servicing- seemed like an ok time to come back.

  6. Anyone in the CDC universe know where one can take their Marshall amplifier to get repairs done?

Vancouver seems to have no places to get a guitar amplifier repaired anymore.

      Try Commercial Electronics @ 604-669-5525

or  The Sound Room @ 604-736-7771

These guys sell and repair, or they used to, home stereo equip.

Even If they don't do it, they should know who will.

Last idea is contacting Aaron Anderson  @ Sound Hounds in Victoria

      250-595 4434

He is simply the best tech I've had work on my stuff. From speakers to turntables, building crossovers, and on and on.

  8. Mrs. Alf has MS.  Do you guys know what that is?  She’s toast.  I’ve increased my scotch consimpyion knowing that I’m going to be alone (except for my dog) soon.  Life sucks, and then you die.  I really could could care a $&!# about hickey.  Sone of you hockey is your life, get it means nothing.  What only matters is heLth.  Life sucks, and then you die.  I need to drink more.  Tomortoes I wish I could jump off a bridge.  Alas, I can’t even do that.  It sucks being old and decrepit.  Mrs. Alf has matynev1 month left to live, at least that’s what the doctors say.  What if, in this drunken stupor, I drill holes in my heD?  Will that end my pian?  I drank a full bottle.  I still feel like crap.  Don’t get old you going people. It sucks cannonsgetting old, and losing your best Brenda. I hate doctors.  They only give bad news.  Did you know that Mrs. Alf, back in the day was an All ?American in track?  Yup.  I was too.  (I know it’s craxu, but it’s true.  We were both All ?Americans.). Now she’s toast.  Fu#@ this life sucks!  I’m on to bottle # two.  Mrs. Alf is way too strong.  These doctors, who I think are (I was going to say lbtards) are stupid.  You should see Mrs . Alf ... she’s really amazing!  No way she’s sink, like those losers say.  Should I hide the actionx for the Gus?

One more bottle, and maybe? I’d feel better?  I do have my dog.  When he’s gone, then that’s it.  No more suffering and pain.  Just end it.

Im not a happy Alf tonight.

Seriously, what am I going to do?

Take no single doctor's word, consult someone else. Most likely the Dr. is right, but they do make mistakes.

There are support groups for folks with MS, they can help with ideas and techniques for mitigating and fighting the disease.

      ^ Thanks for the reference

"They even found a way for submarines to refuel and rearm the flying boats. "

The Japanese did re-fuel 2 of their H8K "Emily's" at French Frigate Shoals from I-15 class subs; for their second attack on Pearl.

without ww2 there is a good possibility that flying boats would have a much larger presence. The war made it necessary to build more land strips, at a large cost, that peace time may not be able to afford.

wiki, for what it's worth says the P5M was hard to maintain, it seems the plane was still in service with the US at the time the Mars were being bought by the fire fighting consortium.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_P5M_Marlin

"Seven P5M-1Gs and four P5M-2Gs were built for the United States Coast Guard for air-sea rescue service, but they found the planes difficult to maintain and surplus to requirements."

  14. Anyone ever taken a one day Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certification course? What was it like?

    1. Gurn

      Gurn

Chest compressions will be practiced on a, usually arm and legless, doll. I always wondered ,why do cpr, no arms or legs- most likely dead and not worth reviving. :)

  15. Anyone ever taken a one day Emergency First Aid and CPR-C certification course? What was it like?

    1. Gurn

      Gurn

Get knee pads, if you have knee problems.  you will likely learn both single and dual person CPR, there is a possibility that they no longer teach vents( breathing for the victim) but only chest compressions.

It is as simple as A,B,C

A- airway- is it open and functional

      B- breathing- are they breathing

      C- circulation- do they have a pulse/heartbeat.

Just by taking a first aid course you reduce the risk of yourself being in a accident by a significant amount.

A few years back (err 25), saw Marvin Aday at The Forge in Victoria. He had met 2 people on the ferry coming over and they were violin players from the Juliart music academy in NYC. Brought them to the show and had them come on stage to play "Dust In The Wind"  EPIC. Wish they had recorded that, I'd have paid for a copy.
