[PGT] Carolina Hurricanes at Vancouver Canucks | Oct. 24, 2022

Maybe, but who signs a player to a 7 year deal, if nobody else would trade for the player? Shouldn't someone's spidey sense have kicked in? " I have a player, nobody wants to trade for, so Imma sign him for 7 years; that'll show them". -

Doesn't matter who is the coach- this debacle is on the team, and the GM.s- past and current. Move around a few chairs while the ship sinks; heck for BB sake it would likely be better for his health; to no longer be Canuck coach. BB has made a few errors this season, but his 'fault' is maybe 10% of the fiasco in front of us. He over played Quinn- but what else could he do-all the injuries on D He keeps playing Miller- but benching the upcoming $8 million man would get him in real bad, bad with the GM/PHO and the owner. I fault him for a few of the lineup decisions, and was not happy with the pre season's lack of ice time for the team as a whole unit. That said- the players are playing like brain dead morons; not all the time, just when it matters most. -
Should team look at signing a new assistant coach?

Rod 'the Bod" is on his way to being a great coach, just needs a few years of longevity behind the bench -

Scotty Bowman, in his prime, would: a) not take the job b) not be able to do much better, with the way this team is currently playing anyway. -
[Discussion] Do You Have the Stomach For a Rebuild?
Gurn replied to Warhippy's topic in Canucks Talk
This is the exact type of post that gets Provost in trouble, and even he hasn't gone as far as you. so where is everyone's vitriol and scorn? no abuse, or put downs? Maybe, just maybe people are beginning to understand math? I'm in favour of a rebuild, anyone is tradeable if the return is good enough; even if the return is nothing but cap space. Tired of being 'stuck in the middle": -
6) signed Brock- bit too much money, and he's on a slow start.

Just thinking I'd like my special teams to be more creative/special. Was always exciting to watch. Also a heck of a blow to the opponent.

Both a CFL and NFL question: When was the last time you saw a fake field goal or punt, that wasn't in the last couple minutes, of a tie/ish game? something the BC Lions- of Lui Passaglia era, would do.

If the 'tank' continues it would be better to concentrate/follow the top 5-6 prospects. Focusing too much on the top guy will make the 2nd place guy feel bad if he ends up on the team. Eichel never got over the way he got introduced to Buffalo. The gm was almost in tears about losing MC D, rather than happy to have Jack- who is a hell of a hockey player in his own right. -
British comedian Jimmy Carr, talking about a lady named Aurora says " That's a name you don't hear every day" to which she replied "Actually, I do". Ps Jimmy is very, very funny-but works 'blue' as it is called. Quite profane, and funny.

This current regime has signed more than $20 mill worth of contracts for next year. almost 25% of the cap. So anything JB did cap wise, these guys seem to just follow along. Then the media says "JB's fault" while a bunch of fans agree. -
Remember the good old days, when we had 3 first line centers?. Now we have to move an underperforming center to the wing. So they play 2 first line centers, and 2 fourth line centers, in the middle. Pearson Horvat Boeser- put it together and leave it together. Former number one line, give it 5 games, then re assess. Kuzmenko Petey Podz best line this year. Keep this together Mikheyev Aman Miller Joshua Lazar Hogs Switch Hogs and Miller after a couple of games, if required.
