  1. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/alberta-covid-19-deaths-climb-by-32-as-hospitalizations-continue-to-rise-1.6622660 "Province likely to surpass 5,000 total deaths next week Alberta's COVID-19 death toll climbed by 32 over the last reporting week, provincial data shows. Since the pandemic began, 4,983 Albertans have died from COVID-19 as of Monday. The province will likely surpass total 5,000 COVID-related deaths next week. Meanwhile, 56 more people are in hospital with COVID compared to the last update. There are 1,070 people in hospital including 33 in ICU. Between Oct. 11-17, 1,387 cases were detected on PCR tests. The seven-day average for test positivity was about 18.45 per cent, down slightly from last week, which was 19.08 per cent. There may be more virus circulating in the community, however, as provincial data excludes positive rapid-test results and most Albertans are ineligible to receive a PCR test. As of end-of-day Monday, 77.8 per cent of Alberta's population have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine; 82.2 per cent of Albertans have had at least one dose. Of all Albertans, 39.7 per cent have received three doses.
  2. If they trade him: We first have to know just what the plan is for JR and PA. They had expressed concern about cap space, so one could think that Bo goes for a cheap, hopefully up and coming 3rd line center, and multiple picks. But then again they may decide 'screw the cap space', as they jammed themselves up to it with this year's signings; and trade dollar for dollar.
  3. The top of my list says: "Make a list'---- I like to get off to a good start. One down, a few more to go.

  5. Dakota has played 71 games in the AHL and 46 in the NHL-so far. Single season highest AHL 35 games NHL 30- so far.
  6. Pearson Bo Brock a former number one line for this team. All about the same speed, played well together before. I'd play them for a few games and see if that works again.
  7. Hope you are right, but the team better win a few before that; or it will likely, again, be too late.
  8. Garland getting traded frees up $4.95 mill. As mentioned by the Donnie and Dahli show- seems Bruce sat Garland for cause, in Bruce's eyes. And Bruce does have a habit of throwing in comments about Garland's size. Perhaps Garland and Rathbone are the trade bait?
  9. They don't give points for leading after a period. Hugely outscored in the third- you could say we are getting blown out in the third period, if that helps settle the word play?
  10. Hughes is going to sleep well every night till we get healthy on Defense. Tired guy. Extra physio on those legs.
  11. Did anyone mention Bo has 23 goals and 13 assists in his last 41 games?
  12. Nope, I only go at what people say, not the people themselves. keeps me inside the rules, and out of trouble; which is actually a bit unusual for me.
  13. 20 years ago, or more, the government should have made it illegal to sell cigarettes to anyone under 19. The next year they should have made it illegal to smoke under 20 years of age, then 21 and so on. by now there would be a heck of a lot less smokers.
  14. JR/Pa are on the hook for Brock Miller Mikheyev Kuzmenko Lazar Joshua Aman 7 players, out of 23? almost 1/3 of the line up and just under 20% of the cap-not including Brock's salary.
  15. Horvat has scored 23 goals and added 13 assists in his last 41 games.-as posted in the gdt or pgt.
  16. They blew a two goal lead and a separate one goal lead, did they not? so, not great, at all.

  18. Well if you only want to count, what you want to count, you get what you wanted to count.
  19. I actually kind of wondered if Garland was being traded, finding out that was BB's decision troubles me. Garland has played better than a lot of the guys, and should not have been the guy sat out.
  20. I guarantee they won't lose tomorrow. Unless something happens in practice, that is.
  21. True, but he was signed to an $8 million per, for the next 7 years; so if people are talking about cap space- that is a bunch of it. Mikheyev is another bunch. The others were all cheap signings, but still total a fair amount by themselves. over $16 mill. Hard to complain about a lack of cap space, when they signed just under 20% of the total cap themselves. Really hoping Miller gets it together, I had thought the team would get 3 years of good value, but his start is not trending the right way.
