  1. Strange howe things go. She was just back in the news, because of the anniversary of that Oscar broadcast, just back in the public eye; and now gone. My condolences to her family and friends. -Has much changed, for the indigenous peoples of the U.S., since this lady made her speech in Hollywood, all those decades ago?
  2. The issue isn't that Rachel got fired- though that is somewhat concerning. As one should be concerned that the new and media supported 'better, improved management team' messed up either by the hiring or the firing. However The issue is that a few posters have been trumpeting the failure of 'diversity hiring'.
  3. Update- not blisters, but he does have a cut on his pitching hand.
  4. Anyone know how long it took JB to fire someone, that he had hired?
  5. Gausman out with the start of blisters. Hope they are healed for his playoff slot.
  6. The guy was a true monster, but even he bit off more than he could chew. Imagine having the ability to talk your way out of jail-as you chase a naked teen boy down the street, who runs into cops-and they let you talk them into believing it is 'just a gay lover's quarrel" The cops let Dahmer take that child back to his place- where he killed him.
  7. Another person, safely in Police custody? https://www.msn.com/en-ca/video/news/horrific-bodycam-footage-shows-train-hitting-police-vehicle-with-suspect-inside/vi-AA12fFA1?ocid=msedgdhp
  8. I'd have liked to figure this stuff out much earlier in life, but I was not ready then I help out with my cousin's kids when I can, and made suggestions to a friend about their kid that they thought was a good idea so they did it. Have spent years working with the mentally and physically handicapped, doing what i can to help them. That is as close to fatherhood as I'm increasingly likely to get. That fact saddens me- but I think, no kids for me was right for me; and more importantly, for them.
  9. People are different. Some will just say 'learning experience" and move on, some will be damaged for the remainder of their lives. Others will decide to get the person they believe hosed them over. Still others will arrange for someone else to be their instrument of justice/vengeance. Edit- removed stuff about me- trying to get more on topic here Will just re iterate- people are different and react in different ways Until I got into my 30's I'd have struck back at my Bio Dad, in any way that would not end up with me in jail. What saddens me the most is: It is 2022, and we as a society/species are still having issues with violence- be it domestic or otherwise. Hundreds of lives ruined or impaired every month, in every town and city in every country. Some humans suck.
  10. Perhaps it is about making HIM pay, and not about the money? The ex-wife likely got a considerable sum during the divorce; probably more than enough to pay for the university costs. This whole thing seems more about the principle than the money. I'd say that after the education costs are figured out, the next time anything gets public is when Frank gets ready to pass on- and just before that the kids will go after him, in court, for an inheritance. An attempt to get the guy back for the hurt they believe he did to them and their siblings. Revenge can be more important than money.
  11. Archaic language rule; given that most 6 year olds are aware of the word- if not the meaning. I'm not a huge fan of swearing, but it does have a time and place for me; so why should I get upset if somebody has a different idea of ok time and place? "There are no bad words Just words used badly" George Carlin.
