  1. You get your lawyer to get a court date, and talk to the judge. It is ultimately up to a judge anyway, if Frank had issues with paying he needed to talk to the judge -not stop paying -until he had a different court order. But- it isn't even clear that Frank stopped paying afaik. From the first post "“It’s really disappointing that I have to keep coming back to court in order to try to enforce Francesco’s obligation to pay child support for the children,” she said." Yet a few lines above that statement is this bit of wording ", to have the three children, all of whom she says are attending university full-time, continue to be declared to be children of the marriage for the purpose of child support payments." So some grey area in the wording. Does that mean that the kids 'aged out' so now they have to be considered kids again, for education purposes or does it mean they are considered kids for purpose of education, and the Ex is trying to get the court to re- afirm.? Wonder how long this will drag out before the courts?
  2. To you and me, that is a lot of money, but to family as wealthy as the Aqua's it's peanuts. People getting too fixated on the money. If the court ordered him to pay, and he stopped, and she had to go to court to get him to do what the court already said, Francseco is in trouble.
  3. I always put money in the firefighter's boot. My family was lucky enough that The Firefighters Burn House had a room available for use, when my Dad was at Vancouver General Hospital recovering from a massive motorcycle accident. That 4 day stay was critical, and a kindness i will remember forever. Not only were hotels horribly expensive, and had already got thousands of dollars from us to stay in, but they were also totally booked for a while, when the Burn House helped out.
  4. Could have become a relator that does his own add jingles?
  5. worst ever show- Tragically Hip; Showed up late and drunk. Major let down.
  6. Many decades ago, I was selling "Merry Christmas" signs, that people would temp glue to a door or wall. About 8 inches long, 2-3 inches tall in green or red. "Proceeds go to the B.C. Paraplegic Foundation" was a selling point. Each sign was $3 bucks My boss got a dollar I got a dollar the manufacturer made money and the B.C. Paraplegic Foundation received $.07 per sign sold.
  7. People seem to be getting tripped up by how much money Frank has paid out, thinking it is enough, for 'spoiled kids' Need to understand that Joe, the carpenter, will pay less child support than Frank, the billionaire. It is how math works. Plane rides?- not surprising- the kids life style should not change to welfare level income, because mom and dad got divorced. Court said pay, Frank stopped paying. If Frank wanted to stop paying he needed to go to court and get the payment order changed. If he stopped paying, without court consent, he is nothing more than a dead beat Dad- with money.
  8. Strange how many 'double' mistakes are happening. Vladdy admires a ball, thinks homer- oops no homer, THEN doesn't stop at first, so gets thrown out at second- a double mistake. -And why all this watching the shot anyway?- Just run your ass towards first-then look for the ball. If it was going out, you can still see it leave while getting to first. Climber- throws away the ball THEN doesn't cover home plate. another double mistake. This stuff must be cleaned up- or this team won't go more than 1 round deep.
  9. Means a level of government is completely irrelevant. Decent idea- but they will need many more inspectors, to ensure these formerly illegal/unknown suites are safe for use. I wonder if this idea is 3 houses side by each on a single lot or if they mean for vertical 3 stories with shared yards?
  10. Might as well, why waste a good pitching arm, in a game you are likely to lose? Save the other guys for next game.
  11. Yankee broadcast- one of the pair must have been over playing the walks that Judge has been getting, he and apparently Steven Smith; but the other guy on telecast is pointing out that Judge had many a 3-2 count, so it wasn't like he didn't get an at bat.
  12. Hard to get a conviction on anything to anybody, as the system is rightly biased as to prevent false convictions. Add in 15, plus, years of time lapse and it would likely be a complete waste of time to get a criminal charge- or conviction
  13. In a different reality: Arthur Griffiths still owns the team, as he found a way to build the new rink, And buy a basketball team. It may be just old fond memories, but the CKNW orphans fund, telethon and charitable work really popped out. More of a "we are in this together" mantra? Probably just me getting older and crotchety, good old days thinking.
  14. For those wondering why the allegations of abuse didn't get aired earlier: https://nationalpost.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouver-canucks-co-owner-francesco-aquilinis-divorce-settlement-finalized-in-court " Outside court, she declined to elaborate on why the marriage fell apart. “Circumstances came to light that weren’t conducive to marriage,” she said." This could have been anything- maybe even allegations of abuse- or not.
  15. Yes, as previously mentioned, there has been talk of building refineries for decades. Unfortunately it has been just talk.
