  1. Some of Kane's cap hit should be paid out by Bill Daily, who basically approved the contract being voided.
  2. No, we didn't just keep everyone and add. Players come and players go. Bailley is gone Chiasson Hunt Richardson Halak and a few others.
  3. The thing that got Bieksa his shot, was his shot to the head of Federov.
  4. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/mlb/jays-alek-manoah-defends-teammate-alejandro-kirk-from-fat-shaming-critic/ar-AA11SjRX?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=43e72a110f0e47efa347cdeecbcb4699 "Jays' Alek Manoah defends teammate Alejandro Kirk from 'fat-shaming' critic If there’s someone that’s got Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk’s back, it’s teammate Alek Manoah. On Wednesday, Manoah came to the defence of Kirk after the latter was criticized by Matthew Ross, a Montreal-based radio personality who called Kirk’s base-running “embarassing” for baseball. The uproar started after the Blue Jays shared a tweet with a video of Kirk running the bases during Tuesday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Ross apparently wasn’t a fan of the video. “It’s cute and all, but also embarrassing for the sport,” Ross said in a now-deleted tweet. “Giving guys like this prominence feeds negative stereotypes.” While many Jays fans chirped the radio host for body-shaming statement, Manhoah stepped up to the plate to stand up for his teammate. “Go ahead and tell that 8-year-old kid who is 10lbs over weight that he should quit now,” Manoah tweeted. “Just step aside from the keyboard and let KIRK inspire those kids to continue to chase their dreams and chase greatness.” In another deleted tweet, Ross replied to Manoah: “When a pro baseball player takes your words & twists them to suit his simple, defaming narrative of you. “Fat shaming? That’s insane. I questioned the optics of a PRO player, & how it feeds into the declining view that casual fans have about MLB. PERIOD.” Manoah didn’t like Ross’ response. So now your saying attendance is down because too many big guys play the sport? Then let me ask you, why did he get millions of votes to start the all star game? And What’s Narrow is your nose you should probably fix that. Your ratings are down cause of it,” tweeted Manoah. Apparently the negative feedback got to Ross. At first he tried to protect himself from the backlash by locking his Twitter account, but he later ended up deleting it altogether. Ross hosts Weekend Game Plan on Montreal’s TSN Radio 690. According to his now-deleted Twitter bio, Ross is also the founder of non-profit organization ExposNation.
  5. This part would HAVE to be looked at, very seriously. This team has already had it's share of back injured D men. Buyer beware.

    RED SKELTON'S RECIPE FOR THE PERFECT MARRIAGE1. Two times a week we go to a nice restaurant, have a little beverage, good food and companionship. She goes on Tuesdays, I go on Fridays.2. We also sleep in separate beds. Hers is in California and mine is in Texas.3. I take my wife everywhere, but she keeps finding her way back.4. I asked my wife where she wanted to go for our anniversary. "Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!" she said. So I suggested the kitchen.…
  7. Stevie is great, but Christine was Perfect;
  8. I'm happy for Motte, hopefully he has a good health year, and gets a good raise next contract
  9. Was Paul Martin a right winger? IIrc he did a damn fine job as finance Minister. Balanced budgets and a massive reduction of the national debt.
  10. Add on, just where did I tell you to leave the country?
  11. As compared to your opinion that this country is a lost cause? I'm ok with telling you to leave.
  12. Imo Woo will get playing time, before Keeper, Burroughs and likely Juulsen,as he still has potential to be a player. I'm also thinking Burroughs can make the big team as 7/8th d man. Johanssen will get ice time based on his first round pick status, and his play has been steady, but not overly inspiring.
  13. If he gets to 24, he can enter the league at the same age as Bieksa.
  14. The guy is 22, why are people throwing dirt on his coffin?
  15. 1-when did the government tell us to wear a color? 2 in Canada we add a 'u' so it is colour.
  16. As good as it will be to have another day off; it won't be the federal government covering the extra pay for those that still have to work.
  17. Huge bad decision by the coach. If Wilson gets the first down, fantastic 'Here we go boys'. If Wilson doesn't get the first down it's 'We'll get them next time, after a bit more practice' Now it's " I'd rather a kicker try for an almost record long field goal than trust a pro bowl quarter back'. Likely be a lot of players wondering if 'coach doesn't have faith in Wilson, should we have faith in Wilson? Or should we have no faith in coach?' Coach has some splaining to do.
  18. I've done up a couple of rosters, and can get to about $175,000 under, roster of 23; but it will all depend on who actually makes the team. I include Joshua and Rathbone, as JR has said they will make the team Dowling gets sent down. Team seems hampered by the unpaid bonus, and 'dead cap'.
  19. I don't know if anyone has ever sung one last song as fitting as Johnny; it is amazing. He knew exactly what Trent Reznor went through, to write such an fantastic song.
  20. Cap Friendly currently showing the team as $2,751,667 OVER the cap with 20 players on the roster. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/canucks
