  1. A bit too much, and more than a bit too long. Fine for now, but the potential damage to the future has yet to be seen. The team will be screwed if he becomes a 50 point, or less, guy for those last 3 years. Sure they could dump him; but that is going to cost.
  2. Fun fact- once you have signed a deal, it is market value- as that is what the market paid. kid of like no matter how hot the room is; it is always room temperature.
  3. Anything known about trade clauses? nothing liasted- yet?- at Capfriendly re trades
  4. They have $1,008,531 left in cap space; with 22 of 23 spots filled according to Capfriendly. https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/rangers I'd say Motte wants more clams than that. He is really hoping a team will give him some juice.
  5. What used to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups should now be called Reese's Thimbles. A lot of food companies try to hide their true price increases with smaller packaging. McCains hash browns are 900 grams- not 1 kilo, like the other bags at the store.
  6. Iiec the governments had passed legislation to curtail price gouging during the pandemic, and those laws/rules should be looked into again. Pandemic is not "over officially" so those laws should still be in effect.
  7. Now Sept 2/22 Same soup is priced at $.99---- up 15% from the last price increase and up 49.25% from the $.67 over 2 months. So what does the government say the inflation rate is?
  8. I'll see if I can convince my Mom out of retirement; she was over 100 per at for a few years. She will probably tell me a word I've heard an awful lot over the years "No"
  9. If you have something better to do , tell us, and we'll join you?
  10. No more than 7.5 for 5 years. He has scored more than a point a game in 2 seasons His career points per game are .712 He will be 30 when his next deal starts. I would not pay him like a 100 point guy- which he did not actually do I would not pay him like a point a game guy- which he has done on two occasions, out of 7 full seasons 2012-13 New York Rangers NHL 26 2 2 4 8 -7 -- -- -- -- -- 2013-14 New York Rangers NHL 30 3 3 6 18 -6 4 0 2 2 2 2013-14 Hartford Wolf Pack AHL 41 15 28 43 47 10 -- -- -- -- -- 2014-15 New York Rangers NHL 58 10 13 23 23 5 19 1 7 8 2 2014-15 Hartford Wolf Pack AHL 18 6 9 15 12 -3 -- -- -- -- -- 2015-16 New York Rangers NHL 82 22 21 43 46 10 5 0 3 3 4 2016-17 New York Rangers NHL 82 22 34 56 21 17 12 0 3 3 21 2017-18 New York Rangers NHL 63 13 27 40 28 -1 -- -- -- -- -- 2017-18 Tampa Bay Lightning NHL 19 10 8 18 12 -3 17 2 6 8 15 2018-19 Tampa Bay Lightning NHL 75 13 34 47 30 8 4 0 2 2 0 2019-20 Vancouver Canucks NHL 69 27 45 72 47 11 17 6 12 18 14 2020-21 Vancouver Canucks NHL 53 15 31 46 43 -7 -- -- -- -- -- 2021-22 Vancouver Canucks NHL 80 32 67 99 47 15 -- -- -- -- -- Career year, not going to be repeated. Seldom hits a point per game, might get that for a couple of years-might. Most likely to drop down to his career average area. Good solid player- not a great player. Should not get great money, and certainly not for a long term.
  11. Which is why many here figure he gets traded. He knows he can get more elsewhere next year. Bigger salary, and a better tax rate almost anywhere he goes.
  12. No more than $7.5 for no more than 5 years yrs 1-2 NTC 3 player submits list of 10 teams he won't go to 4-5 no clauses at all.
  13. That is probably more than the team will pay and less than what Miller will take.
  14. As I mentioned he could have said " I need to do what it takes to make this a wining team". That would indicate he is not ok with 'mediocrity' and will work to better the team. saying " I want to play on a winner" is getting close to " I don't like it here, and going to take my marbles to play elsewhere."
  15. you do realize you just agreed, that IF 8 things go right we might be contenders to get out of our division.? So your idea is to keep Miller, get 2 top 4 D men, and have 8 things go right to hopefully get us out of the division? That is a whole lot of hope.
  16. I'm a bit concerned by this, from Petey. I'd be liking it a whole lot better if he had said " I need to do what it takes to make my team a winner".
  17. If that is the case and if The Penalty killing is better, and consistent over the whole year The power play is more consistent over the whole year the break outs are better, consistently over the whole year the bad give aways get reduced the team takes less retaliation penalties a consistent effort to back check, by everybody, the whole year Demko plays, at Vezina level again and they stay healthy-which is key given the lack of quality injury replacement players- especially on the much mentioned D side. Then yes a likely contender, for at least getting out of the division.
  18. what was given up to get those 2 D Men? That info is kind of pertinent.
  19. The players gave Green more life than they should have. Green got re-signed after exit interviews, where the players gave praise to Green's coaching. JB then signs Green, and one year later very few platers were playing to potential.
  20. Can you guarantee Miller will score a point per game for the first 5 years of his likely 7 year, big money deal?
