  1. Anyone sticks their finger in my mouth, without my consent, is going to get bit. Not so sure about the bit of making fun of " sexual assault' but the physical part is true.- Yet when he found out that the physical abuse was more than 'just' some shoves in a parking lot after a game, he apologized. As to the rest- fair and valid points.
  2. ^ the author of this blurb should use something other than "made the case" as the dude did not make any case at all, just spouted some uniformed opinion. There was no 'Perry Mason' moment.
  3. Back trackin: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/baseball/blue-jays-reliever-anthony-bass-apologies-for-sharing-homophobic-social-media-post/ar-AA1bTZXj?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=0346a983cfdb43f48f30eb58d12b8956&ei=20 " TORONTO — Blue Jays reliever Anthony Bass says he's sorry for sharing a homophobic social media post. Bass spoke ahead of Toronto's game against the Milwaukee Brewers tonight. The 35-year-old Bass shared an Instagram reel yesterday where another content creator made the "Biblical case" for why Christians should boycott Bud Light and Target after they openly supported the LGBTQ+ community. Bass says he apologized to his teammates and is using the Blue Jays' resources to better educate himself. He says that "the ballpark is for everyone" and that Toronto wants to welcome everyone. Bass did not take questions from media after making the statement.
  4. I went that way once, prior to any of it being paved, beautiful drive. There wasn't much traffic back in those days, not sure about now. Take some water/a bit of food in case of a mechanical issue. There was a little pub right by the warf in Renfrew, went there once and watched a golden lab call the shots at the pool table. 'Zack' loved to watch the balls go into the pocket, and was smart enough to pick the right hole. Dog would look at you, like you were an idiot, if you lined up on the wrong ball.
  5. looking at his history, seems he had 3 goalies on multiple teams, whether due to injury or not, I don't know.
  6. Lake Cowichan: it is possible to river raft/tube a large part of the river, down to Duncan; the locals will have more info. Fishing on Cowichan Lake- with a lure named "The Cowichan Lake Special" I presume you mean the back road between L Cow, and Port Renfrew? Englishman River falls are around there iirc? I think the world's largest hockey stick is still on display in Duncan- and there is an aboriginal museum there as well. There is mountain, by Duncan where they do hang glider rides. Chemainus- the town with all the murals is just a little way down the highway, from Duncan Cathedral Grove-on the way to Port Alberni- absolutely HUGE trees. Coombs- Goats on the roof, a few dinosaurs made of metal, and a restaurant that sell buffalo burgers Over on Salt Spring Island, short ferry ride from Crofton, has a 'marketplace' on Sat? that shuts down the main street. May bump into a few famous musicians.
  7. If you look back, as far as last season; you will see that Tochett rides his number 1goalie-hard. I expect the same next year as well.
  8. If I were an 'investigative reporter" I'd be asking a few questions Every single person that uses his 'religion' as a reason for bigotry, should be asked a few questions When did you last attend church? Which day of the week do you observe sabbath? If they don't take a day of observance, how do they rationalize putting the god of money before their deity? do they wear mixed fabrics? Many questions that should be asked, of anyone that uses religion in such a manner.
  9. So I'm not a huge basketball guy; however isn't it a whole lot easier to win a game, when you shut down the other team's star players?
  10. Jays, 28-26 host Brewers 28-25, 4:07 pm pacific Kikuchi vs Adrian Houser
  11. $9,500,000 against the cap. team captain take dumbass penalty, get suspended 2 games watch from the rafters as your team wins those 2 games get back in the line up, and lose the game in which he played 12:30 and was on ice for 2 of Vegas' first 3 goals. looks good on him.
  12. This is where having the AHL team in home city is a bit of an issue. I doubt management wants to put in the back up for home games, as it decreases the chances of a home ice win. If the AHL team was still in Utica, Silovs' could be brought up and play a few away games on an East Coast swing. I would not be surprised to see Arturs playing NHL away games in Alberta or Washington state, maybe Nevada, but doubt they would go farther than that.
  13. I will toss in a left kidney, and just like those cattle, it won't be mine.
