  1. so, no time for some, 14 days for Huffman and 4 months for this guy. After a puff or two I begin to think "Hey, wait a minute, isn't paying tuition, paying to get your kid into university?
  2. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/dad-receives-4-months-in-prison-for-paying-dollar250k-to-get-son-into-usc/ar-AAHPwHn?ocid=spartandhp " BOSTON – Devin Sloane, a Los Angles business executive, was sentenced Tuesday to four months in prison for paying US$250,000 to get his son accepted into the University of Southern California as a fake water polo recruit. He is the second parent to be sentenced in Boston federal court in the nation's college admissions scandal after actress Felicity Huffman received 14 days in prison this month. U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani also sentenced Sloane to 500 hours of community service over two years and a $95,000 fine. "Just because you’re a good person doesn’t mean you don’t commit a crime when you do those things," Talwani said. “I come back to the action you took in bribing a college official. Bribing a college official is a serious crime. You are not a repeat player, but what you did involved your child." Sloane, 53, is the founder and CEO of waterTALENT, a water treatment company. The judge ordered him to report to prison Dec. 3. "
  3. I would not be ridiculing them, I would point out that their conduct was probably illegal, just as I'm not ridiculing AM but pointing out the potentially illegal activity.
  4. Criminal charges in cases like this, exist because the conduct is considered criminal. So not absurd. The benefit to the victim, and society at large, is word gets around that the type of conduct AM engaged in is illegal and unacceptable. Edit to add, she reported the incident to the cops, they have decided to pursue charges.
  5. Personally I don't care if the guard was a women or a guy. A.M. did a stupid thing and should be held accountable for his actions.
  6. Don't know about stopping because of the refs, but I can say I've watched one 3 on 3 overtime and no shootouts since the league went to that format.
  7. Sadly, he has a better singing voice than I do. More sadly I don't qualify as eye candy either.
  8. I don't get bothered by Harper in face paint and headdress, but Harper dressed as a cowboy was way too wrong. Image result for Steven Harper Cowboy.url
  9. Yes, they would run our stars. There is no deterrent, some players know they have to do dirty things in order to stick. A few punches are not going to stop them.
  10. Heck, Bill Laforge lasted 20 games in the NHL so how bad to you have to be to get gassed after 8 in the K ?
  11. The years go by, like fenceposts on the highway.

I'm going to suggest that the surgery they did two years ago was probably fine, you however were 22 years older. Age can effect outcome.
  13. He probably meant he" has" to go see those movies, not "got" to go and will report on them when he sees them.
  14. In todays age, the first thing through my mind is that this is some kind of immigration throw them on a plane out of Canada thing. But I'd guess they will interview the two of you at the same time, but in different rooms.
  15. Watching tonight's game and I'm thinking Vlady has lost weight from when he first came up.
  16. Liked him in From Dusk to Dawn, plays a creepy guy very well.
