  1. If the owners charged less for tickets and broadcasting rights the players would make less, dang greedy owners.
  2. maybe, but my dyslexia makes charts and lists an incredibly aggravating exercise. I just find it hard to believe that Delorme was so bad,as he lasted as chief scout for over a decade., and still remains on the payroll. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Delorme "Delorme was born in North Battleford, but grew up in Cochin, Saskatchewan. Though Delorme retired from the NHL in 1985, he has remained on the Vancouver Canucks staff for over 20 years as a scout and was appointed chief amateur scout in 2000.[1]
  3. Price is Right, cause Wheel is too racist If fire fighters fight fire, and crime fighters fight crime, what do freedom fighters fight?
  4. Perhaps, but Gillis didn't strike me as a guy that would take much input from others. As I said without the lists who knows for sure. I'd like to see someone compare the Central Scouting lists of bpa when the Canucks drafted, and compare to who the Canucks actually picked.
  5. Was Delorme terrible? I'd need to see his draft lists and then compare them to who was available, and who the Canucks picked at those spots to know for sure.
  6. He was the head scout and travelled a heck of a lot so it is possible.
  7. This would all sound a bit hypocritical, however I know you went to your boss last week and said"I want you to pay me between 10-35% less money from now on."Right?
  8. Maybe he went to the tournament to see the tournament, knowing nothing about Elias; saw him there, then told JB "Wow keep an eye on this kid I saw".
  9. Should have added: The owners are the truly "greedy" people in this scenario as they are the folk that set ticket prices and agree on broadcasting fees of which the players then get a 50% share. So the owners could charge less for both those items, then the players wages would go down.
  10. So they get paid like they are the 700 best in their profession. Don't like that they get paid that much? Then don't watch or buy merchandise and if hundreds of thousands of other people do the same, the hockey wages will go down.
  11. Core are keepers, unless very good value is returned Foundational do the heavy lifting, playing during hard time, and set the direction of the team, while the young folk grow into the job of being core supporting players come and go.
  12. Because these guys are the top 700 hockey players in the world?
  13. He was supposed to be foundational, which he is when not injured. He was never billed as a core player, though many mistake one label for the other.
  14. https://www.mlb.com/news/sights-from-players-weekend Players' Weekend is officially underway, meaning your favorite players are taking the field with nicknames on the back of their jerseys and some other unique gear, including plenty of specially designed cleats. • Every team’s Players’ Weekend nicknames | Players' Weekend FAQ
  15. And it would be silly, however he also failed a test and thus the IIhf has suspended him.
  16. Watching the first Seattle game wondering who thought it would be a good idea to dress the home teams like the umps? Hope nothing strange happens due to a mistaken identity.
  17. Wiki differs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_Nilsson "During his NHL career he was called "Mr. Magic" and "The Magic Man", referring to his exceptional puck skills. Wayne Gretzky commented on Nilsson's skills saying "Skills-wise he might have been the most skilled hockey player I ever saw in my entire career""
  18. Kent Nilsson has come out of retirement? That is awesome!
  19. Every time I see the back of my left thigh. Why do I keep looking at that thigh?
  20. all players could be/are a hit away from ltir.
