  1. I'm a Ryan Reynolds fan, but I'd do that trade.
  2. And a story confirming the above: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nhl/avalanche-captain-gabriel-landeskog-expected-to-miss-entire-2023-24-after-knee-surgery/ar-AA1aWZ0C?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=347701a7f1854515af4b47f54eabdcfb&ei=36 Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will undergo a cartilage transplant in his right knee on Wednesday and is expected to miss the entire 2023-24 season, the team announced. Landeskog didn't appear in any games for the Avalanche in 2022-23 as he recovered from knee surgery in October. He was only expected to miss 12 weeks following that procedure. The Swede also had knee surgery in March of 2022, missing 23 games before returning to help Colorado win the Stanley Cup that season.
  3. Really important, to get a good start to next year. The team had the last few weeks of last season to find out who the 'next man up' is, but instead piled ice time up on the stars. It would have been good to know if Wolanin can play on the top pp; in case Hironek doesn't heal as fast as thought, and Hughes gets dinged and misses 3 of the first 4 weeks. IF not him then who? Who is going to take more penalty kill time, if the main guys get injured. BE a bonus to not have to play Petey and Hughes as much on the pk as well. A few less starts for Demko would give a better idea if re-signing Delia would be a good back up move, or is Silovs going to be the guy? Missed the opportunities, worsened their draft slot, but won a few more games.
  4. The team violated the CBA, if they wish to get the clause changed they can request the NHL approach the union/nhlpa and negotiate a change. This could be done during the season or at central bargaining. Or the NHL could tell the Canucks to get stuffed, at least till the CBA expires. It might be a silly rule, but it is a negotiated and agreed to item, by both sides.
  5. do you get the irony of you replying, to poster that you have no control over?
  6. The thing isn't not winning the lotto; the issue is we have the 11th pick in each and every round. Canucks were as low as #4 in the standings-lotto be damned, I'd like the 4th pick in every round as compared to the 11th.
  7. I note that our supposed superstar management group has just tied Jim Benning in fine money, levied by the league.

Perhaps there were too many pills in the van?
  9. Anyone know just how low the Canucks got in the standings? I think it was as low as 4th worst?
