  1. The Eagles moves were great.
  2. Living in Japan without being able to read or speak any Japanese and only being able to use my phone when connected to wi-fi is pretty wild =D grocery shopping is a guessing game.

I thought @Spoderman was already in Japan since he's an Otaku.

  3. Chip didn't fail because of his system he failed because of his ego. When he had the talent it worked fine (keep in mind he took a 4-12 team and went 10-6) but when he cut most of it then it failed. Chip was football smart but not player smart. Since being fired many players have given him credit for being smart but have been critical of how he treated them. The Eagles owner also restated this in his speech on why he fired Chip and when speaking of the next coach he stressed how he wants a coach who understands how to interact with the players. I don't think the Eagles are screwed though. They still have a lot of talent on the defensive front 7, money to work with, and a new system may change how effective some players are. I am alright with him gone but wouldn't go that far. He didn't do to the Eagles what Doug Collins did to the 76ers or what Ruben Amaro did to the Phillies.
  4. Eagles ended their playoff hopes in a game that pretty much reflected the entire season. 7 dropped passes, 7 fumbles (2 lost). With that said I actually feel pretty good about next year. Bradford should be resigned even if they have to overpay a bit he really turned his season around and has looked like a legit talent in the 2nd half of the year. He is just surrounded by incompetence. I would also like Chip to return as his system isn't a problem and works in the NFL but I would consider revoking his full control over the roster. Chip is terrible at evaluating talent. I miss Andy Reid's drafts. Reid's last Eagles draft consisted of... 1 - Fletcher Cox 2 - Mychal Kendricks 2 - Vinny Curry 3 - Nick Foles 4 - Brandon Boykin 5 - Dennis Kelly 6 - Marvin McNutt Jr. 6 - Brandon Washington 7 - Bryce Brown Meanwhile Chip is giving us guys like Marcus Smith and Nelson Agholor xD Hicks and Matthews have been the only 2 guys hes drafted in the last 2 years that have been legit. But I think if they focus the draft and FA on the offensive line and WR's they will fix the offensive issues. I would also cut Riley Cooper. Defensively I would simply fire Bill Davis. The Eagles have a lot of defensive talent but the system is just idiotic. It doesn't maximize their strengths and it embraces their weaknesses. I doubt they turn it around in the fashion Carolina did but I see them in a similar situation where a few specific changes could get them rolling again.
  5. Beckham Jr. is reportedly expected to be suspended for a game. I think that is a bit of an overreaction. Arizona is one of the best teams (possibly the best) in the league. They have the 2nd best record in the NFL, the #2 offense, the #6 defense, #3 in TO difference, and an MVP candidate playing QB. Praising the Redskins because of what the Cardinals did doesn't exactly translate. The Redskins are a .500 team with the #16 offense, the #16 defense, and #16 in turnover difference (definition of mediocrity). While led by an average QB who has only thrown for more than 1 TD in 3 games. And look at the records of the teams they beat to get those 7 wins this seasons. Rams: 6-8 Eagles: 6-8 Buccs: 6-8 Giants: 6-8 Bills: 6-8 Saints: 5-8 (play tonight) Bears: 5-9 In other words they haven't beaten a single team with a .500 record or better. When they faced the Panthers they lost 44-16 where as an inconsistent team like the Giants nearly beat them. Plus keep this in mind the Redskins are 6-2 at home but 1-5 on the road. The Skins final 2 games are in Philadelphia and in Dallas and remember Dallas has 1 win this season without Romo and that 1 win was against the Skins. But back on the Eagles and Cardinals the Eagles didn't truly get burned until the 2nd half when Rowe and Maxwell were hurt. Up until they got hurt it was only a 17-10 game. The defensive backfield on some plays were literally Biggers and Watkins at CB with Maragos and Reynolds playing safety. When you have 5th string players taking a starters role you are likely in trouble on any team. Both players are still unknown for next game though. Even with the defensive issues the real issue in the game was simply just turnovers. Cards had 0 turnovers and the Eagles had 4. Turnovers can literally be 14 point swings as some of those turnovers came on productive moving drives and just fed more points to the Cards. It's unlikely any NFC East team would go far in the playoffs but I would rather see the Eagles or Giants in. With the Redskins you pretty much know they will just get beat around by the first team they play but with the Eagles or Giants they have a chance that they may show up and play a competitive game.
  6. Given how often he saves them what do they owe him? xD
  7. Beckham all game. What an embarrassment.
  8. I don't think he really cares about hurting himself as he has done it before. Youtube embeds don't seem to be working for me now but 2 links https://youtu.be/Kjt5nAVYxCM?t=1m18s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCLh56UIekE&feature=youtu.be&t=2m33s
  9. They finally called a penalty on him for one xD But I was referring to this one. Was this open hand? Poor quality
  10. Including the one that wasn't on Norman? Outside of by definition though repeatedly swinging and hitting players in the head. Seems like he is getting special treatment for being a big name. BTW this was something hes been accused of even going back to the preseason.
  11. Wow how has Beckham not been thrown out of this game xD Every play he is throwing punches
  12. And in the most underrated/overlooked story line of the season the Panthers are 13-0 with the #1 offense in the NFL and the #4 defense in the NFL that is also #1 in INT's and Fumbles. Their remaining 3 games are against the 5-7 Giants, 6-7 Falcons (who they just beat 38-0), and the 6-7 Buccs (who they beat 37-23 earlier this year). They will probably go 16-0.
  13. Eagles offense finally taking some deep shots. Bradford has been looking better and better.
  14. Let the hate flow through you
  15. Why would they think Murray is an upgrade over Ivory? If anything Murray looks like a downgrade xD but still it would be near impossible and would only happen if ownership really wanted Murray. If they want to replace Ivory they have so many more options outside of Murray and that contract is brutal it still will have 4 year on it as the 5th highest paid RB and with RBs that is a huge number given they rarely get paid so it drops off hard. For example Sproles is the 9th highest paid RB in the NFL this year and Mathews is the 12th highest paid. Yet Murray is getting paid about 45% more than Sproles this year. But yes Murray definitely wants out and it looks more and more like Chip wants him out too. Current reports are Philadelphia is set to list him as the 4th string RB this game while Sproles starts and Mathews backs up with Barner as the #3. To be fair Maclin pretty much chose to leave himself. Chip gave him a large offer but KC just offered more. At the time of the signing they made him the 4th highest paid WR in the NFL. If he stays healthy I actually prefer Mathews running style over McCoy's but outside of Murray wasting carries that trade looks bad with Alonso still not healthy and looking like a shell of his former self and of course with Hicks emerging (though hurt now) Alonso wasn't really needed. Maxwell is overpaid and not a shutdown CB but he is a good CB and the DBs have at least done a better job than last years xD McCoy's return could really go ether way. The Eagles defense is obviously fairly familiar with him and may understand how to play him decently. In addition he may be pressing to hard to have a big game and may make some mistakes or get frustrated easily if things aren't going well. The Eagles struggle to cover #1's but the defense always gives up yards they're strength is mainly in turnovers and how well they play is often dictated by the front 7. When they don't get pressure they tend to get carved up but when they are dominating the line they tend to be a very strong defense. For example last week Brady was constantly under pressure getting hit and sacked and he made a slew of mistakes. With that said I am starting both Taylor and McCoy in my fantasy league this week xD
  16. In all fairness the offense didn't look that bad. Keep in mind they scored 3 TD's on special teams and defense plus Ertz botched the onside kick handle which was literally 4 possessions they didn't have to come on the field. So they didn't get many opportunities in general but when they were on the field they moved the ball well but were hurt by a lot of penalties and Barner's late fumble on a drive they were thriving on. They certainly didn't look great but they looked much more fluent. Many of the penalties were on Peters who may have just been out of sync from all those recurring injuries. Bradford still needs to get a better deep game going but he also has looked better. He hasn't turned the ball over once ether by INT or fumble in his last 3 games and that was his worst QB rated game at 99.3 (103.4 and 118.1 his other ratings) completing 68% of his passes over that stretch. I could see the Eagles losing to the Bills and Cards but I think people are overrating the Bills advantage in the game. Keep in mind they only have 1 more win than the Eagles and have been extremely inconsistent. They lost to the Giants and the Jaguars and snuck out a 1 point victory over the Titans and were evenly matched by the Texans last week until the last 2 minutes. While I feel like Taylor is the kind of QB who may thrash the birds I also don't see the Bills as a consistently good team. They look really good 1 week then awful the next. Murray won't get traded given no one will trade for that contract even if he was playing decently. Plus if anything RB value dropped hard this year for older players given how well the younger rookies have been doing most teams would probably just draft a cheap young RB and get more production. He also probably won't get cut given it is literally cheaper to keep him as a back up. Similar to what happened with Riley Cooper. Murray would be a 13 million dollar cap hit next year if he was cut.
  17. If it makes you feel better I cut them too xD Though that is basically what they are. They give up huge plays and always have but they have always been elite when it comes to sacks and turnovers so they are like a boom or bust type defense.
  18. Lulz. If the Cowboys beat the Redskins the Eagles will be tied for 1st in the NFC East.
  19. Not Canucks related but the first of the Flyers big defensive prospects to get a shot, Shayne Gostisbehere, stepped in with Mark Streit hurt and has netted 6 points (4 goals) in 9 games this season. This season might actually be slightly watchable

  20. Jahlil Okafor drama exploded really fast xD 2 videos of him literally knocking out people in Boston in street fights along with a report of another fight with a gun drawn on him and speeding tickets (though thats everyone). On a side note Kobe Bryant might be the worst player in the NBA today. Kinda sad as the team is even bending over to him now. possibly embracing tanking
  21. I still managed to win and finish the season 9-3 xD
  22. I also started the Eagles defense xD Everyone is losing me points xD
