  1. Game day finally here. Been so wound up for this game I already feel exhausted, and the game hasn't even started. Enjoy boys. Forza Juve!!!!!
  2. This game can't come soon enough. I've been feeling like a kid waiting for Christmas morning for the last three weeks.
  3. The road to regular employment in the NHL is littered with highly talented prospects who had great junior careers but couldn't take the next step.
  4. To be fair, it had nothing to do with the Provincial government. Kerfoot needed a parcel of land owned by Ports Canada, a federal agency. He offered a land swap which they didn't like so it ended there. In terms of grass fields, again, I wouldn't go blaming Pavco as there's not many covered stadiums with real grass, especially in the northern hemisphere. The Jays want to do it, but they need an artificial light system, which is very costly. University of Phoenix Stadium has real grass, but only because the field can be moved outdoors when not in use.
  5. Problem is he's coming off a fractured fibula in 2015/2016 where he missed a full season and now we hear he might need surgery for a shredded hammy. Hope it works out, but we all saw what a couple of serious injuries ended up doing to Manneh as he's never been the same since.
  6. I've never ever said this before, but I want to hear Chelsea Dagger many many times tomorrow.
  7. Vincere non è importante, ma è l'unica cosa che conta.

  8. The kid looks ripped in this video. Awesome. Can't wait to see him at prospects camp.
  9. Awesome. Thanks Harvey. Beautiful goals and assists by Alves. He looks rejuvenated in Torino. And now I understand the Super Buffon pic.
  10. A game I didn't get to see unfortunately. Oh well, have watched the second leg dismantling of Barca a couple more times to get me through. Getting my pvr warmed up for second leg already.
  11. I can't find this game on the TV schedule and it doesn't look like TSN is even showing it. This can't be possible can it?
  12. If he jumped up then slid down the ice on his knees after scoring a goal in a loss, would that make people feel better about his expression? Pratt would have material for a week after that one.
  13. Same old same old. It's hard to watch the style of soccer this team plays. Long ball game and minimal interplay to create any sort of buildup.
  14. From my Inter Milan loving cousin in Italy after my badgering him for the last two days with Juve in the final four. Btw, I love this years kit. Getting my son the Dybala home jersey for his birthday.
  15. Just finished watching the pvr'd Juve masterclass win. Was very satisfying to watch. I feel like having a sigaretta. And I don't smoke.
  16. Forza Juve!!!!

  17. What I don't understand is why is there an expectation for guys like him to play grittier. Isn't that the job of all the other guys on the team who actually don't have the high-end skill that Goldy does? I mean, does Johnny Gaudreau need to play grittier? Does William Nylander need to play grittier? I get that in a team environment, you don't want these skilled guys to be lazy and expect them to also play in their defensive zone, but to expect them to be grittier? I don't get it.
  18. Show Virtanen the highlights of Kassian's game last night over and over. If he could just play that way and use his speed and physicality rather than expect him to score 25 goals, then he'll be embraced by his hometown. The goals will eventually come.
  19. The U.S. just dropped this 21,600-pound, GPS-guided  Mother Of All Bombs (non-nuclear) on ISIS in Afghanistan.

The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb sits at an air base in Southwest Asia waiting to be used should it become necessary. The MOAB is also called "The Mother of all Bombs" by scientists and the community alike. (Courtesy photo)

It's a bad day for a few people today.

So we're gloating over the west's weaponry that cleverly kills people?

Reminds me of CNN covering the Iraq debacle.

What an ugly society this has all devolved into.

I don't think anyone is gloating, its just hard not to be in awe of the thing.

I make no apologies any size bomb that is dropped on people who's entire goal is to enslave you and I to sharia law, force women into sex slavery, and cut off our heads in the street if we oppose them.

  20. Nice. I love hearing the stories of how the first waves of Italians came here and where they ended up.
  21. Nice. And a beautiful part of Italy. My parents came to Vancouver around that same time as well (after taking the train from Halifax of course).
  22. That would be awesome. We might need to start an Italian thread on here.
  23. Oh man, hopefully it all works out and you can get there with your family Reggie. Would be memories of a lifetime for you and your nonno. As for the National team, they'll be there and hopefully they'll do some damage. I've suffered too many World Cup heart breaks over the years to have high expectations. I'm first generation here, but my dad's from Vicenza and mom's from Calabria believe it or not. Complete opposite ends of the country. And you guys?
  24. Oh man, pvr'd the game and just finished watching it a few minutes ago. The atmosphere at the game was unreal. Juve puts on a whole laser light show before the game to ramp up the fans and atmosphere. My cousins live in Vicenza and are huge Inter fans. I've been giving them the gears on Facebook for the last hour. Of course they're still sleeping and won't be reading my rants for a few more hours. Ciao.
