  1. CDC needs more Italians on here. It wasn't that long ago that the Azzurri were starting to look old and the soccer world was talking about how we could only play great defensive soccer with little offensive flair and creativity. You're bang on with the number of stud youngsters coming up. We showed glimpses of that speed and creativity in Brazil so I'm already looking forward to what our team will look like over the next couple of years.
  2. Sono anche io. Juve's been my team for years. Conte, Zambrotta, Zidane, Del Piero, Pirlo and now Buffon and of course Chiellini. Juventus stadium is on my bucket list.
  3. Forza Juve!!!

Haha, awesome. Head on over to the Official European Football (Soccer) thread. Just found out there's a few of us here.

  4. Sergio gets the monkey off his back. And on Seve's birthday. What a fantastic back 9.

Rose pooped the bed on the 18 playoff, but Sergio definitely deserved the win.

@Brad Marchand @Green Building The Masters always seems to have this type of drama. Rose's tee shot in the playoff makes me wonder if his back was affecting him. Great finish and so happy for Sergio.

Announcers speculated the same thing as you. Golf drama can be pretty good. Honestly, I just tune in for the last 8 or 9 holes at the most though.

  5. Don Rickles dead at 90. RIP.

90 is a good run. RIP to a funny guy

  6. Maybe one day, we too can have a master class player such as Andre-Pierre Gignac. Haha, who am I kidding?
  7. Can someone explain to me why the Caps get to wear their plain white "rain" jersey's for both the away and home matches? Already tired of their whites.
  8. Good win and very entertaining. Their goalie sure made it adventure tonight though.
  9. Yet he hasn't been good enough to be a starter in Columbus for the last year and a half, being used mainly as a late game sub.
  10. It's a panic move by Robbo, who seems like a swimmer wildly flapping his arms in the deep end. This team will remain stuck in mediocrity until our cheap owners decide to spend money on a real coach and manager.
  11. With this move, there goes my hope for Robbo getting fired anytime soon. Tchani is a defensive midfielder, having scored 10 goals in 172 MLS games. That's 10 freaking goals. Pretty much sums up Robbo's defensive minded philosophy. Once a defender, always a defender and part of the reason I want Robbo gone.
  12. I agree. There's been no entertainment for two years now. As for Manneh, Davies has largely replaced what Manneh brought and is much more dynamic all over the field.
  13. Do we have a handle on Tchani? All I know is he's a big guy for a midfielder and plays box to box. Is this what we really needed right now. We can't score goals nor sustain any type of offensive build up and interplay so seems like a strange move that we trade Manneh for a non-creative midfielder. So the question remains...where the heck are the goals going to come from? This being said, trading Manneh doesn't bother me. IMHO, he was on his way to becoming another Mattocks. Lot's of speed, but couldn't finish and could rarely see what was happening around him on the field. Maybe this means a change in formation and style of play for the squad. I got tired of the long ball and counter-attack game a couple of years ago.
  14. It's not a coincidence that McJesus and the other skilled players gained confidence with the signings of Maroon, Kass, and Lucic. But these guys can play. Tough guys who can't contribute are bloody well useless in this league now.
  15. Thanks. Hope that's what happens.
  16. Can the Nucks send Goldy (or Boeser) after our season ends to Utica if they make the playoffs?
  17. An o-lineman making 200 grand in the CFL is a luxury, so I sort of get where Wally is coming from with this move. Yet, I can't help but think about what an unstable o-line did to Lulay and hope the same thing doesn't happen to Jennings. Hopefully Foucault decides to come to the CFL as he and Brown could more than make up for the loss of Jovan.
  18. Do we really want Jake here next season as a third or fourth liner instead of playing top minutes and on the power play down in Utica or another year of learning his craft and maturing under Travis? IMO with the recent improvements he's shown in his game, another year in Utica will do wonders for him.
  19. The team was so desperate to excite this market with some youth that they made it a big deal with that video of Bo welcoming the two kids making the team out of training camp. No wonder it might have gone to the kids' heads a little bit.
  20. I hear ya. I find this team tough to watch right now. I know we have some new players this year, but this team looks and feels like the same team from the last couple of years. Is it Robbo's formation? Is it Robbo's tactics? Or is this team just not good enough? Very frustrated with this team. Meanwhile, Atlanta United is 2 - 1 and scored 11 goals in it's first three games with his exciting attacking style made up of players Martino specifically zeroed in on who could play that style. What are the Whitecaps? What's their identity? I can't bloody well figure it out.
  21. Ah. Thought they had to win this game. Oh well. Will still follow him in the tourney.
