  1. No game-breaking skill players. No speed. No surprise.
  2. It's gotta be something like 4 am in Sochi. Grapes is going pretty good for an 80 year old at that hour.
  3. I heard it for the first time this morning. More of the same crap...injuries, adapting to new styles...etc. Once again, his complete lack of humility makes him come across as a pompous arse. He skirted the tough questions and on the face of it, basically said we're not trading anyone with an NTC. Hopefully that's just for public consumption and he does in fact have a plan to approach some of these players. If not, our retool will simply consist of substituting the spare parts along the periphery of this team and we'll simply have to wait out for these contract with NTC's to expire in the next two or three years. At that point, these guys will simply just walk away as UFA's and we will not have received a thing for them, in which case, we should expect a long run of futility for this team. I have no confidence in Gillis being able to make the hard decisions that need to be made for the good of this team. His player agent hat won't allow him. He needs to be removed from the hockey operations side of the business so we can have someone with no ties to this team make the decisions that need to be made.
  4. That was my post. I was shocked when I came across the stat.
  5. I was shocked that nobody went after the guy for that. Then again, given our team makeup, we shouldn't be surprised. Kesler getting in front of that when he didn't need to shows how much of a warrior he is. Effing love the guy!
  6. Because Peter Chiarelli knows how to manage assets. They traded two young stars in Kessel and Seguin to get some of their current young guys. MG would't have the balls to make deals like those.
  7. Yeah you're right. Because the past few games are indicative of his overall time here in Van.
  8. After that Boychuk hit on Booth, I can't help but think that the icing on the cake to this season would be Booth getting injured, preventing him from getting bought out.
  9. I'm torn here. On the one hand he's gutting it out, but on the other hand he's a hologram out there. Wtf is it with the medical staff on this team letting him play? He could have had all this time plus the Olympic break to recover and be healthier for the stretch drive.
  10. Nice pressure by us, but they score. Looks like this game is going to be one of those moral victories this team cherishes so much.
  11. Second game of the back to back and going back to Boston. I have a bad feeling that if Lui doesn't steal this one tonight, it's going to be a long night.
  12. I mentioned this in another thread but seams appropriate here also, but Mason Freaking Raymond has more goals than Daniel this season.
  13. I hope he's not done, but who knows. By way of comparison, Mason Raymond has scored one more goal than Danny so far this season. MASON FREAKING RAYMOND!!!
  14. I agree that it's on the players, but it almost looks like they've thrown in the towel and are waiting for their GM to make a move. Lots of fault to go around with this sad group.
