  1. True. And by his own mismanagement. Which likely ended up costing us at least another high pick or solid depth player.
  2. Maybe she locks them because they end up getting derailed by talk of vengeful mods.
  3. Because he has NO IDEA how to build a championship team.
  4. He's used that one the last couple of years off and on. Jim Nill traded his second best player this past summer, his first as a GM, for a high-end young guy in Seguin. Assuming the twins are here for the full four years, the only other high quality players that could fetch us young high-end quality in return would be Kes and Edler. I just don't see MG trading Kes either so we're left with Edler, and really after the last couple of years, how high can his value be? Unless Gillis sells his potential.
  5. They weren't a bonafide contender. They've had a couple of solid wins against good teams, but they were mostly beating teams below them that they should be beating. And even then, we were only scoring a couple goals per game against weaker teams, with Lack getting a couple of shutouts.
  6. A little bit. But he's highly skilled and a very hard worker. Everything I've seen and read predict he's going turn out to be a very good player.
  7. Exactly. Even a Nyquist or Brendan Smith would work.
  8. Sounds similar to what he was asking the Leafs for Lui, so not sure I believe the reports. But if true, he needs to be looking for quality, not quantity. I'd take a top prospect and a depth player rather than multiple bodies just to fill out our farm team. If it is what he's asking, no wonder he can't make a trade.
  9. No I saw it. Dominating one period is different than dominating a game then giving it away. The Ducks totally dominated the last two periods and fully deserved the win. Lack stole the game. The Canucks gave away nothing.
  10. Maybe Torts should have bag skated them last Thursday.
  11. Some of us did. Unfortunately MG never got the message.
  12. One point for 20 minutes of work? I'll take it.
  13. Well that second line should make the game worth watching.
  14. [ That was pretty obvious. But what are we going to do, send out Tanev or Hammer to stand up for Lui. It's the same story with this team, no matter how much Gillis wants to convince us that a new coach was all that was needed.
  15. Man it's painful reading all these comments. It's deja vu all over again from the last two playoff exits. But yeah Mikey, a new coach was all that was needed.
  16. It's not something new either. While they've been getting their points, they've been invisible in so many games this year.
  17. Bigger picture, but the lack of real pushback in our own barn is worriesome.
  18. No I did too. And I've been living with the guilt ever since.
  19. I didn't say they haven't played in a week, rather that they've been home (the one hour flight to Calgary doesn't count).
  20. Are the Lightning that fast or are we just slow? No excuses for them outworking us in the third as we've been home for over a week now.
  21. Yeah I saw him as well. He's a God in South Delta and he spends a lot of time in and around the Ladner Leisure Centre and South Delta Rec Centre talking to as well as skating and working out with local kids.
  22. I'm sorry but what an idiotic post. So you're blaming Lucic for the reportedly unprovoked attack by some idiot (I won't say a fan because a true fan would never do this). Seriously, do you also blame rape victims for dressing too provocatively? I hope Lucic does go after the guy legally and nails his arse so everyone can all get to know the idiots name. Every city has its seedy underbelly so I'd like to think this is no reflection on the City and the people who live here. But the only thing NHL fans across the league will see is the headline that will reinforce the notion that Canuck fans are the worst in the NHL.
  23. McQuaid, Kelly, Eriksson, Paille, Thornton and Hamilton. Gotta hand it to them. That's a solid group of starters not playing for them and given how they're playing really shows their depth.
