I love you Demko! -
Sorry SS I thought I was responding to the other teams that may want to sign him............yes we can anytime

Here is the problem for Tryamkin, as he actually can't sign until August 1, 2022, which is a month after the UFA season. This is a problem, as most teams will not wait that long to fill out their major part of their roster. (you can not build a team on "what if's") So by the time Tryamkin becomes available, most available cap will have been spent, resulting in Tryamkin having to take lesser money. Not something he really wants to do, if leaving the KHL. His best chance of signing is still Vancouver. It is also a risk for any team wanting to sign him, as what if he does not turn out? Now you have just committed to spending 1.5 to 2 million on a player who can't play. So there is risk to the clubs. Then there are world tensions, and the question of whether Tryamkin would want to leave mother Russia during this time. Not only Tryamkin, but his darling wife too, who has had a major influence on his decisions until now. Like I said months go, "it is a hot mess", and I would not put up much hope!

Come on Drak! The point was, when Eichel was traded there was plenty of risk that he may never play again. And there is plenty more risk that his first hit, may be his last. So, let me spell it out...............that is why the assets that were traded for him were less than if he was health and it was just a hockey trade.......
-
So, you are saying that Eichel, who could not play hockey before his surgery and still has not, will have no recurring back issues, and will play at 100% of his past skill level, for the remaining time in Vegas..........and there was absolutely no guarding of assets by Vegas, meaning they had absolutely no doubts that Eichel will be all world again, and that Vegas did not low ball their offer to some extent, because of these issues and Eichel wanting out of Buffalo ............ Sure! Right!

Pretty simple proposal, really. Totally futures! Miller at 50% + Motte for Othmann, Lundkvist, 2022 -1st and Barron So, this sets us up in several ways. #1. We get a scoring LWer in Othmann that would certainly a great add in him self #2. We get a scoring RHD in Lundqvist, that has shown he can play in the NHL #3. We get Barron who is a big body and will fit in nicely as a 3rd line Center #4. We get a 2022-1st that should be in the 22 to 26 OA spot, and can be added to our 1st to move up and get Jiricek, if JR sees fit Othmann has played very well in his D+1 season, and can score goals.....31 goals in 39 games this year. He was drafted 16th OA in 2021. (In my opinion he is near blue chip) Lundkvist is not Schneider, but should be able to play 2nd pairing with OEL, and we will have to go shopping for that big defensive Dman, that can play with Hughes........there are alternatives to Schneider, that will probably be cheaper. Baron in Colorado, Helleson in Colorado, Grans in LA, I am sure there are more! Barron looks to have 3rd line center capabilities, and a big body. 23 years old 6'4" 220 lbs. he is a B+ prospect. Certainly Motte has similar value. The 2021 1st is a very important part of this trade, as it should give us the ability to trade up with our own 1st (which should land in the 8 to 10 OA spot), so, How I see it is having a trade in place for the 4 to 6 spot, which, we could trade our 2 picks for if Jiricek is still available. Yes, it is a a futures trade, but it does fill in some important holes, and gives us alot of flexibility, and reduces our cap to a point, that we will be able to sign all our remaining players. Note* there is always the possibility that the NY Rangers 1st could be used to trade for one of the other big prospects I mentioned earlier. Like I said it gives us flexibility.

As the owner of this thread, let me say that there are 2 players that have similar potential in the top 10 this year, with Jiricek, and Nemec If we end up at around 12, we will see neither.................. So, it will be interesting to see what JR does. If he sells Miller, then we dip, if we keep him, we keep rising............. But here is the rub, as far as I am concerned. What and where are the kids that will make a difference in 2 years coming from, if we keep him? (Miller) This is the question. Yes we we could get to the playoffs, but where are the kids that raise us to the top, other than the ones we have already. The point of this post, is where do we get that Seider level guy? Do we buy him, or do we draft him? Buying is expensive, as you are seeing in this post. So, the best move, if JR sees the need is to sell Miller and dip, which in it's self still may not be enough, because some of the other teams have a head start! IMO, as much as I suggested it, selling the farm, doesn't do it, time wise. Trading Miller, should get us a Schneider or Barron level player, but more than that, it gets us other parts that will be able to step in during when our core is ready. A late first is not the end all to be all by itself, but added to a 9/10 overall, may get you up into the 5/6 OA, where those young draft RHD are..... If you want a Hughes/Seider/Maker/Hiskanen, then you go draft him, because the Fox scenario, just isn't something that comes along often Would I trade that bundle that I suggested at the start of this thread? You bet your arse , I would! Is it enough........I don't think Yzerman would think so! -
