  1. Yeah, that's why I said I hope the Canucks are patient with him. He has all the tools to be great, just needs time to put it together.
  2. Being held off the score-sheet for 40% of your games is definitely concerning. I hope the Canucks are patient with this one.
  3. definitely better with commentary
  4. better quality video of the goal with multiple angles(from HFboards): http://giant.gfycat.com/PopularThoseGrosbeak.mp4
  5. Bowey got caught but Virtanen can't just bail on the back-check the way he did in a gold medal game. Doesn't matter who's fault it is, you have to give 100%. All he had to do was move his feet. Looked like he didn't even realize there was a player to his right until the goal went in. He's been pretty good this tournament but that was atrocious.
  6. That is awesome, thanks for doing this.
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ngnt0__p8Ys Gaunce with a snipe to tie the game in the third. edit: at the 1:45 mark
  8. You forgot about Dre...er..I mean Gaunce
  9. I posted this in the other thread but I'll say it again. I think Horvat should go to junior again after getting a few games under his belt. Yea, he doesn't have anything to prove in the OHL but I envision a similar path to Mark Scheifele's in getting to the NHL. Chances of him being a difference maker next season are slim. Let him continue to dominate in juniors and refine his offensive game; there is always more to learn. Mark Scheifele 75 points in 66 games (1.14PPG) Draft year 63 points in 47 games (1.34PPG) 79 points in 49 games (1.61PPG) 34 points in 63 games (0.54PPG) [NHL] Bo Horvat 61 points in 67 games (0.91PPG) Draft year 74 points in 54 games (1.37PPG)
  10. I just used the 19 games because it shows that even on a great team, which the Canucks are unlikely to be next season, he wasn't very good. He's getting older and he looked so jittery the couple of games I saw him. I don't like his attitude either so there is some personal bias on my part. But again, I don't mind 2-3 years of him as long as it isn't for more than 4.0 mil/yr. I could even live with 4.5 mil/yr.
  11. I agree but Miller doesn't seem like the type of guy you sign for 2-3 years. Hence, the reluctance from fans. Those are the 19 regular season games he played for the Blues. The Blues were a better team than the Canucks on paper and in real life.
  12. Again, I'd stick with Lack if it's anything more than 2-3 years, $4,000,000 AAV. Stats are similar even though Miller is playing on a much better team.
  13. Definitely, but his regular season stats with the Blues aren't good either and the Blues were third in the league for least goals allowed.
  14. Ryan Miller Playing for Sabres 40 games played .923 SV% Playing for the Blues: Regular season 19 games played .903 SV% Playoffs 6 games played .897 SV% Eddie Lack 41 games played .912 SV% Considering Blues are one the best defensive teams in the league, his stats don't inspire confidence. Take him for 2 years $4,000,000 AAV or let him take up cap space some where else.
  15. I think, with him finally being the guy in Calgary next year, we will see what he is truly made of. I'm really happy with the pick.
  16. I think something like this could work for both teams Fleischmann + 1st for Garrison(13% retained salary) + 6th + Hansen Florida gets Garrison and Campbell back together. Hansen provides forward depth at a reasonable price. Fleischmann's salary is also gone, allowing them to spend money on forwards and defensemen in free agency with more than 20 million to spend. It works for the Canucks as they do not have to give up any prospects/Tanev, and Fleischmann only has one year left on his contract. Might have to add one more piece to get it done.
  17. Yea I guess so. But, come draft day, if he's somehow available at the 5th spot, Canucks should try their darnedest to trade up.
  18. Why do so many people think Draisaitl is likely to drop to 6? From what I've seen, there's a higher probability of him going 2nd than dropping to 6th.
  19. For a player's future career in the NHL, going to Europe is usually the equivalent of going to Belize.
  20. He was the smarter man. Don't want to spoil anything but he got the confession of the murder and rape of his sister. That was his goal as well as killing The Mountain and, ultimately, both those goals are achieved. In the world of Game of Thrones and the NHL, brain over brawn every damn time. This was but a moral victory.
  21. This is unrealisitc but what if Anaheim trades their 10th pick, 24th pick, and one of Vatanen/Rakell for the first overall? Would you trade Kesler for 1st overall? It helps all three organizations. Florida has a solid chance to grab Kapanen/Ehlers at 10. They also get the 24th, along with their 32nd, to pick up some decent prospects or trade to move up into the the 11-20 picks. Vatanen/Rakell are pretty good prospects, as well, but maybe another player will need to be added. Anaheim does this because they can either pick up Reinhart or Ekblad, both of whom fulfill a organizational need, or offer that first overall for Kesler who can help an aging Getzlaf and Perry now. Vancouver gets the 1st overall and pick a great prospect in Reinhart/Draisaitl/Ekblad to continue to build the foundations of the future. Might have to add a second/third round pick to make it happen though. What do you think?
  22. I think the measurements with asterisk are old. Nikolay Goldobin's measurements have an asterisk and he wasn't at the combine. Also, as others have mentioned, these measurements were given out before the testing took place.
  23. Wow, I never realized how crucial facial features were in evaluating a player's talent.
  24. The same person also uploaded a video of Nylander in his time at Modo. http://youtu.be/nDFOGa7Ubxk]
