  1. Over the last few years I’ve realized arguing with Trump supporters/defenders is a complete waste of time. Doesn’t matter what he does he does no wrong in their eyes.

the difference between post and pre-social media is in the past, in public debate you tended to have at least some factual basis for your opinion. Now its all about who can yell the loudest or what meme ends up on your mom's Facebook stream.

I still think people have rational discussions one on one for the most part but the way we publicly do politics now can be pretty vile. It seems like no matter what a candidate does as a voter you are being pressured to vote for a colour (red, blue or orange) vs voting for the best ideas. That benefits the parties, not us.

You might not like Trump but it's incredibly refreshing to see an actual American in office, trolling the media and dismantling the control system that has been corrupt for who knows how long.

If you can look past how he's not "acting like a president" and see the forest for the trees, he's doing an incredible job. I know that's not the politically correct thing to say, but I don't care.

As for Trump supporters, you might be right that some aren't so informed when debating. That's for sure true on both sides. People vary and not everyone has all the information. Plus we live in a time where we can't even trust the media anymore. I really do think it's important though that we strive to get all the information and think for ourselves
